Real Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

Avoid if at all possible. I have eaten at this restaurant a couple years ago and wasn't impressed. However at lunchtime I thought it should be ok. I was wrong. The service was actually good as they kept my drink filled and checked often to see if I needed anything. Sadly the kitchen didn't get that memo. My dish had shrimp in it. To begin with it was overcooked. I could live with that except it tasted a little gamey as well. I should have quit there an just enjoyed the chips and queso, the salsa had a hair in it, but no, I soldiered on. I was not able to finish the meal which was probably a good thing since as soon as I made it home the explosive diarrhea began. If you are forced, at gun point, to eat there just stick with the Magheritas and ground beef nachos. They shouldn't be able to mess that up.

While visiting Owensboro this past spring, I had the opportunity to eat a meal here with a medium sized group The menu is extensive and diverse I played my order conservatively, opting for a sampler platter for diversity and insurance against anything I didn't like I liked it all!No insurance necessary!All was tasty, with the spicy fare just right (not overwhelmingly hot), and robust taste throughout, whether spicy or not.Atmosphere and ambiance were appropriate for a south of the border setting.Service was prompt, professional, and attentive, without being overbearing.Real Hacienda was the real deal for our group meal i highly recommend it

A hidden gem in Owensboro! The food here was amazing-- I'm vegetarian so I was delighted by the mushroom fajitas! My friend is local and recommended Real Hacienda, I will definitely come back next time I'm in town!

My co-workers and I eat lunch at the Highland Point location every Monday and most Wednesdays! We enjoy the fajitas, lunch portion quick options such as the "Speedy Gonzales," and the taco salads and the soft tacos. The pico de gallo is exceptionally good! We also often order fried sliced jalapeños and melted cheese. The service is always friendly and the food is tasty. Today our meal on 8/14/23 was remarkably excellent! I had two soft tacos with grilled chicken and added pico de gallo. My food was fresh and hot, and seasoned perfectly! The chips were freshly prepared and were absolutely crispy and had a toasty flavor that I love! The salsa was pretty good as well. Each person in our group commented about how good the food was today! Our server was very friendly and anticipated refilling our glasses regularly. I enjoy eating at Real Hacienda and am happy to tip well, knowing that the good tip is well deserved! Thank you Real Hacienda!!

We were gifted by a savory, authentic banquet of Mexican cuisine by the owner. With food prices as they are, this is a witness to "giving until it hurts"! My food was excellent and my margarita was the best. I recommend!!!!! The service was great and they took care of me and my family.

Stopped off for some dinner after going to Holiday World while craving Mexican. We were sat outside and ordered pretty quick thereafter.Food came out quick and hot after we ordered. The quantities they give were huge so if being full is what you want they have you covered! I got a shrimp quesadilla and it was very good, along with the guacamole it came with. Everyone else in my party also seemed very pleased with their meals.Overall, you cant really go wrong with fast service and quality food in large quantities now can you?

I hate to leave a review that isn't great but this is the second time something like this has happened. I was in town from college and my family and I got Real Hacienda to go and as I was eating mine at home, I bit into something hard in my pollo con arroz. I looked at it and it was the end of a plastic tag, like one you get off of your clothes. Like I said, I have had something in my food from here before, however that time, it was a metal bolt. I hate to leave a bad review because I loved this place in middle and high school but I didn't want to finish my food this time and find something else in it.... After not being home in so long and wanting to get food from my former favorite restaurant in my hometown, I was disappointed:(

I had a amazing time here, our waiter was incredibly respectful and generous, and the food was beyond good. Our food came out in literally 7 mins. And we ordered a lot. Great service and great food, with a great night.
