Publix Food & Pharmacy

This is Publix first venture in Kentucky. Having spent several years in Florida, I'm familiar with this grocery chain and was excited to learn they're coming to the area. This store is brand spanking new and more than ready for their debut. The shelves were fully stocked. Staff was everywhere. Cheerful. Helpful. The store was mobbed and the staff might as well have been directing traffic. There's lots of indoor stations for bbq, coffee, sushi, and sandwiches. The seafood and meat counters were spectacular. Produce is beautifully displayed. But prices aren't very appealing. Since there's only one store (for the time being) Publix can't take advantage of discounts for multiple stores when purchasing. So produce runs high. Non-perishable items fare better. Still, Publix quality is undeniable. And no grocery has more friendly staff. That certain counts for something. I'm looking forward to a store on my side of the river.

Big store, modern, good displays and wide variety of product selection! Clean, hopefully easy to navigate - after the crowds die down some from the opening just this week!
