PRP's Ice Cream Corner

We found this gem a few days ago and this will now be our local go to spot for ice cream. While we love others, PRP ice cream corner offers quick , friendly service AND they offer seating which is all covered. The items we ordered were a kids ice cream cup and a hot fudge cake. Both items came out within minutes of ordering. Since this was our first visit, the young lady who helped us was very kind and answered any questions we had! I highly suggest visiting this place if you're in the south end this summer!

Wowowow. What a great little ice cream shop! It really gives you a small town feel. There are so many flavors to choose from and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I was so happy with my cookies and cream waffle cone. You know it's good when people are waiting in the cold for ice cream. I can't wait to go back and try one of their sundaes

Prices they charge are higher than their menu indicates. The last 4 times we've been there we've been over charged. Asked for a receipt, this time, and it doesn't have prices on it. Its not about the money... its about how many ppl this happens to? Especially those of us who are buying for 3-5 ppl each time

My youngest daughter and I stopped in for some ice cream because she wanted some and we were leaving work so I told her we could. I've been wanting to try PRP ice cream for many years now myself and my ice cream fan really I will eat it occasionally but not enough to get a whole large ice cream or anything. But my wife and daughters love ice cream so we stopped in here and I got a small Oreo flurry for my youngest daughter. She enjoyed it very much I took of course the dad tax bites I took probably three bites of it and I enjoyed it also and it was really good. So good Nice community ran ice cream shop. I highly recommend you giving it a try

We usually go to Dairy Kastle but we were out in the south end and looked for something a bit closer. The good news is that the prices are much more reasonable. For example it was only $7.10 for 2 medium chocolate peanut butter shakes as opposed to $ 10.70 for the same at Dairy Kastle. The truth is that Dairy Kastle has a better chocolate peanut butter shake but you will pay more for it. Service was very good and the price was right but the peanut butter taste for overpowering two thirds of the way down and was so thick that it was hard to sip. Perhaps next time we will get something else as they seem to have a wide variety of flavors, etc. And once again TripAdvisor doesn't list this business on their website.

Solid ice cream shop overall, they've been out of my favorite flavor for months now tho.

Very convenient place. Close to home. I love giving back to locally owned places. They have many different kinds of ice creams along with bbq sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos etc. You order at one window and then get in another line to pick up your order. Smooth process.They have signs up to socially distance. Some people walked up to the counter with no mask on. Disappointing but I guess you can't force people. You have enough space to socially distance. So it's not a huge problem. This time, I ordered a hot dog and a chili cheese hot dog with onions. The people I got them for devoured them. My son was shocked that he was already done with his. He thought that his was better than any other hot dog he has ever had. My dad he got the chili cheese hot dog. He never usually will say anything is good but he devoured his and then actually said that it was good. I think they both wanted another one. I'm sure my son will be craving a hot dog from there very soon.

The worst staff, rude as hell. The ice cream was fine, but not exceptional. Ambiance... is non-existent since it's outdoors one seating. The biggest problem was ordering and staff. It just isn't anywhere I would return. There are FAR better ice cream shops in Louisville. Try a different place!

Always delicious ice cream, malts and my favorite brownie sundae. Don't let the long line deter you. Service is quick and worth the short wait. A hidden gem in PRP.
