Pier 17 Cajun Seafood & Bar

As someone who lived in Louisiana for a while and is familiarized with cajun food, I was honestly very disappointed with the food we got. We ordered a dozen of oysters, crawfish, snow crabs, clams, and cajun fries. The oysters were very small, so they gave as 14 instead. We also tried 3 different seasonings off of the menu: cajun, lemon pepper, and signature Pier 17 seasoning. You can mix the flavors with different seafood you order. Surprisingly, the best one was lemon pepper, and the other two tasted awful! It was not the cajun I know, rather it was very blend and very greasy. I would not pay this price for the quality of seafood I got.Their service was really awesome though, we got seated very quickly. Our waitress always checked on us to see if we need anything else. She was quick and patient with our needs. However, I would not come back for food.

Come here shortly after they opened and was not impressed with this place at all. We broke down and came for a second try and we are glad we did. Our waitress was phenomenal and on top of everything. The food was excellent and we stepped out and tried something we had, black mussels, and they were delicious. The restaurant was really quiet compared to most. Looking forward to a return trip soon.

Went there on a Saturday evening with family to celebrate a birthday. We got the family party boat with scallops, crab legs, crawfish, and shrimp. So much food! & what a great price for it. totally worth it. We sub the mussels with scallops because their scallops are so good & we're not mussels people. Would get the party boat again next time.

OMG shrimp Po boy and sweet potato fries are to die for!!!!: Service was awesome, atmosphere for a Friday afternoon was quiet and quaint. Great music and clean restaurant as well! Y'all get your 5*!!!!! Come on out and enjoy! Veterans discount too!

So this is a fairly new Resturant in the spot where Chili's used to be. It's close to the mall and very easy to get to. They have a nice big parking lot. I couldn't wait to try it out after I saw it.It wasn't super busy when I was there but was really impressed that the gentleman seating patrons chose the perfect spot for my daughter and I. She is in a wheelchair and the booth he set for us had a nice amount of room on the end so she was able to scoot nice and close to the table. They have paper on all the tables and bring out paper plates and plastic ware for you to enjoy your cheesy garlic toast and appetizers on. Our server was amazing and very attentive. She brought out that cheesy garlic bread and it was delicious! It didn't take long at all after we finished our bread that she brought out our appetizer. We chose hush puppies and there was a nice honey mustard type sauce that was served with them. They weren't the best hush puppies I've ever had but certainly not the worst either. My daughter loved them and she normally doesn't care for them. It wasn't long and our meal came out. Her catfish and Cajun fries were piping hot. My crawfish etoufee and white rice wasn't quite as hot. It was very tasty but could've been a smidge warmer. We didn't safe room for dessert however they do have options if you are so inclined and have saved room.The one downfall, and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that it isn't very wheelchair accessible. We had to use the restroom when we were there and it was a little difficult to maneuver thru all the closed doors to get where we needed to go. That would be the only thing I would suggest working on! Otherwise this place is excellent! I cannot wait to come back and try some of the other dishes and drinks!

Came here 5 days after they opened the new location in Evansville. Excellent flavor, value and service. Highly recommend.

Seated immediately. Drinks served quickly. Appetizers brought right away and delicious.Lobster and sauce with it out of this world.Great crab cakes.

Absolutely horrid service. Had a party of 11 that was sat at around 7:45 we had a reservation. Around 8:30 we began to question where our order was. A gentleman was giving the table next to us their food and told us our food would be up "the internet went down so your order wasn't put in earlier" okay, sure, but every table around us had got their food that was seated around the same time as us. Fast forward 8:45 he says he's going to find out what's going on. We then proceed to never see him again. Asked a waitress to find out where our food was (now 9 o'clock), she the informed us our food was NEVER entered. So much for a happy birthday dinner for my mother. The man (who I am assuming was a manager as he had nice slacks and a polo on) never made sure what was going on and didn't bother to come back over to us until we decided to leave.

If you want to eat terrible food off of paper plates then this place comes highly recommended. Service was good-waitress was nice. Definitely not a quality establishment though. You could make better food at home.

Great food awesome service and super ambiance, 29th Anniversary dinner and we even sat in the bar, definitely going back sooo yummy
