If you're craving a sweet treat, this is the place to go. They've even expanded to all the sports venues in Louisville, which is clutch in the summer.The boozy slushies at the Yum Center are delicious. And you can't go wrong with some water ice (wooder ice) at a Lou City or Bats game...orange creamsicle is great! In the past, we ordered a couple dozen Philly pretzels for our daughters bday party and they were a big hit. IYKYKPlus, locally owned by the nicest couple. Happy to have something that reminds me of my Northeast home.

Hands down the BEST dessert in Louisville! Every time I come back I forget just how delicious it is! Such a unique concept to Louisville! You HAVE to get a gelati. I had never had this combo before but man, is it GOOD! The staff was amazing and let us sample a few flavors before making our decision. Its a hidden gem in Louisville so its never too crowded and always clean.

I am a big ice cream gal, not usually as big on "slushie" or "frozen lemonade" type of treats. So I came to this place expecting to prefer the ice cream. As such, I got a "gelati" which is mixed ice cream and italian water ice. Next time, I will absolutely be getting just water ice. Don't get me wrong, the gelati was awesome - but the water ice is the star here. It's such a unique texture. Refreshing, delicious, lots of unique flavors (horchata, iced tea - to name a few). My husband got the margarita flavor (basically lemon lime) and OMG. My 3 year old ate half of it, in addition to her own ice cream. The service was super friendly and had lots of great suggestions. I cannot wait to go back!

The Italian ice I had was very flavorful and smooth. So good. It was an extremely hot summer afternoon so it was the perfect treat to cool down with and visit with friends!

The root beer float is so yummy!! I can't wait to go back and try more things! The service was great and helpful! Love the sign and shop!

Philly's best frozen desserts is a Saint Mathews neighborhood Italian water ice and ice cream place. Me and my oldest daughter was haven't a father daughter date night dining at nearby taco Choza when we decided to grab something sweet to eat. Seen this location was nearby so we made the quick trip. Upon walking in we were greeted by a very helpful and nice gentleman. I believe he may have been the owner. But he was very helpful and patient with my daughter and I as we made our selection. She ultimately went with the black Cherry Ice and she loved it. I personally got a ice cream sandwich of chocolate chip cookies with chocolate ice. Very good flavor and a nice size. Pricing wasn't bad at all. Overall great experience with very nice and genuine people and good desserts. It's easy to support businesses like this. Absolutely Worth checking out.

Delicious! After experiencing Philly's food truck I was ecstatic to learn they now have a location in St Matthews. My husband immediately routed the car in that direction!Philly's is near several other businesses and the parking lot is tight. They have some seating outside but that's limited as well. Since it was closed, my husband and I sat on the curb at a nearby bank to enjoy our treat.He stuck with the more traditional lemon Italian ice. However, I recommend the gelati which is Italian ice and ice cream. I've had their cherry and today I enjoyed the black cherry. Adding vanilla ice cream is a must! They also serve ice cream, which is made in-house. My teen, who isn't a huge ice cream fan, had their cookies and cream. He declared it made him want to eat ice cream now! Please support this local business. Two brick and mortar spots, plus a food truck for events.

I was in the neighborhood one day looking at the consignment store for some clothes. I noticed that there was an ice cream place open and I thought I would check it out. That's how I found Philly's Best Frozen desserts. I walked in and the place was very bright and clean. One of the employees met me and help me through the different menu options. The main option being the water ice. The other options included ice cream and you have different ways that you could order it. I decided to just get the original Philadelphia ice. The service was great and kind. The Philadelphia ice was delicious. There is space outside that allowed me to eat outdoors and I had a lovely time.

I got to try their home made Italian ice at Shakespeare in the Park. It was so good I had to go back for a 2nd flavor. I had the peach and the mango.I want to get to their store on a weekend and try more flavors!They have other desserts too so you'll find something you like!
