This hidden gem in Rockport, IN is a must see and frequent. The wine tasting is free up to 6 samples. It's located just north of South Spencer High School. Of the beaten path in a nice barn is this unique and good winery. They have the option to purchase by the glass or bottle. They even offer wine slushees!! You can either purchase and wine and cheese tray or bring your own snacks. You can then enjoy this winery on their covered porch or by picnic table on their lawn.

I have had wine from this Winery many times and have always wanted to visit to get the "full experience". After finally having the chance to do so, I can say I was very pleased!During my visit, I was able to enjoy the Bird Dog Blues, Lakeview Peach, Red Raspberry, and Blackberry. All of these wines are delicious! My personal favorite out of the four was the Lakeview Peach. When choosing which wines to taste, I loved how the wine list was broken down into dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, and sweet. This was super helpful. In addition to the wine, this Winery sells Tell City Pretzels, sausage, blocks of cheese, and crackers. This was an absolute perfect snack to enjoy with our wine during our visit!Overall, this is a great local winery to visit! If you find your self winery-hopping or just enjoying a day, definitely add Pepper Ridge Winery to your list!!

First, let me say this place is hard to find. My GPS had me about 10 miles away, and when I arrived, there was no winery. Okay, perhaps it was "user error" as County Road 200S, 200W, 200E and 200N are all different. Who knew? Anyway, use Google Maps and type in the name of the winery and your lovely GPS or smartphone will guide you here without a worry in the world.Notable highlights: the location. Tucked away and not viewable from the road, this place would be an excellent location for a wedding, family reunion, or hiding out from whomever might be looking for you. Wines: a decent mix of sweet and dry. Both my "sweet" and "dry" friends walked away with bottles from Pepper Ridge. It was also voted "best venue" for the day's winery visits, which totaled 9.A word of caution for you Indy people trekking down... this place observes Central time, which means they get to wake up an hour later than those in Eastern.

This place was incredible! The lady who served us was so sweet and accommodating. The wine was delicious, and you can't beat the location and view. I highly recommend this winery to anyone! They even let us sit outside and bring our own snacks to enjoy. Very decently priced too!

We went here after my friend bridal shower! I was very impressed. It was great and I loved the wines. We also tired the wine slushes which is the first time I ever had it. definitely plan to go back when I go for her wedding.

Ditto, Michelle H. We've always enjoyed going there in the past, but were dismayed that accompanying children were not allowed bathroom facilities. We were told, "they can go in the woods. " Needless to say, we won't be back.

***Not family friendly *** We've been going to Pepper's for several years & it has been a "go-to" when we entertain family/friends from out of town. We were aware that the owner had made the policy that no children are allowed in the tasting room. However, while we still love the wine & the location, we were told today that the owner's policy also applies to the restrooms as well. My nephew was not allowed to use the only restrooms on the premises, but it was ok for him to go in the woods. I respect that the owner can choose policies in their establishment. Just know if you're headed that way that it is no longer somewhere you can bring the whole family.
