Papa Manzo's

Saw the owner this evening and he was really friendly. Closed Mondays and Sundays. Their other (Greenville) location is open for lunch if you're interested. Price was slightly more (like a buck and change) than what I calculated on the menu, but the menu does say price subject to change without notice. And they're laminated so probably not changed out often. So fair enough. The folks inside seemed like locals and were having a good time with banter. Phone was constantly ringing so I think they get good business with take out. The 9" thick pepperoni was pretty good. Not a ton of cheese but enough and I got a Great cheese pull from what was there (see pic). The "thick" part means more dough I believe. I don't think theres more filling like a Chicago deep dish. I mean it tasted good. Kinda like a sourdough. But if you're watching the carbs don't try it thick. The Italian beef sandwich with cheese was pretty good too. A lot of people wrote about it so I got one. Although I didn't really care for the flavor for some reason as it reminded me of corned beef which I'm not a fan of. If was Decent size, with lots of beef and on a soft hoagie. Cheese is on the bottom if you pay the extra buck for it. Extra star for local flair and great attitude. Good to see the small shops keeping open.

We are here in Greenville my Birthday place. Decided on eating at Papa Manzo's. Service was very good, the place was very packed with people having lunch. The food was perfect. My wife had their Italian Beef and I had an Italian salad. The cost was very reasonable too.

It's been so many years since I've eaten here. It won't be long before I come back. Absolutely AMAZING! Staff was awesome and checked on us constantly. Felt truly appreciated here. Wish I could give it 10 stars

Food was microwaved, nothing fresh...gross. I could have found a better meal in a gas station. I don't like knocking on small town Mom and Pop places, but it was bad.

Absolutely the best pizza in the world. For all the negative comments about service, what do you want the business to do, dance on the table for you? These folks make and serve absolutely the best pizza around. If you don't like it, don't go. We drive 70 miles one way to go get pizza every few months there.

Great food and coezy atmosphere. Great dinning in a small country town. I must mention that I didn't like the special pizza sauce they use. Next time I'll ask for traditional sauce. Some must like it but to each their own.

Best pizza in town! Speedy service for both dining in and carrying out. Local, small-town vibe.

If you're looking for your local southern pizza place, this isn't it. It's definitely more of a northern flare. Crust could be a little crispier, it's still the best pizza you're gonna find around here. We don't eat pizza often, but when we do I drive 30mi to pick one up. They've always been courteous and prompt.

I have been here several times in the past and was never really impressed with the food. Today I noticed they were open for lunch and wanted a pizza. Never tried their pizza before. Boy, have I been missing out. It was cooked to perfection. Filled with toppings and cheeeeese. This is what you come for. The crust was the best part. Can't wait for Monday.

Best pizza in years, great find. Will definitely eat there again next time I'm in the area. Service was excellent as well!
