For me it's mostly about the Mexican Croissants. More like brioche than a croissant, the shape reminds me of a large crab. Only about $1.50 each. They're made every other day and are out at noon. I enjoy them with my Cappuccino in the morning. You may find other baked goods to your liking, but these are my favorite.34

Some of the best pan dulces in town! I'm so glad can find authentic Mexican sweet bread! On the weekend you can grab some delicious atole and tamales from one of the lovely ladies outside. She is phenomenal and those tamales are moist and tasty! I love coming here and having a LARGE variety of bread is my favorite part of the visit, there's something new to try everyday!

I had to last-minute order my daughter's birthday cake yesterday evening because I forgot (ugh), and they were able to accommodate my failure to plan. They had it done on time this afternoon before her party and it was beautiful and delicious. My only regret was not ordering a bigger cake because everyone loved it. We are becoming regulars, the pastries never disappoint. Grab a tray and tongs and load up on those carbs!

Fresh and extremely delicious pastries! Reasonable prices, too. Go earlier in the day for the best selection. Haven't tried the cakes (yet) but they're gorgeous.

My partner, a friend, and I stopped by after eating dinner nearby. We didn't think we'd get anything, mostly just exploring a new place. I honestly felt like a kid in a candy store! All of the bakery items looked so yummy. Once we figured out how the self-service worked, we got a couple of yummy treats. It smelled sooo good inside and felt so cozy, like a grandmother's kitchen. Definitely stopping by again, there's just so much I want to try!

The very first thing you notice when you enter is the scent of baked goods. That is enough to get you going! They keep bringing out trays of fresh breads and pastries every few minutes and there's a delicious smell accompanying them. It has been on my bookmarks for long and I finally got to visit it last weekend. This is the second panaderia in Lexington that I got to visit and so, I was familiar with the sweet treats and the method of picking them. We picked conchas, cakes, puff pastries, cookies, etc. Everything we picked was $1 - $2 each. They were all good. I like the puff pastries in particular. We were there with a group of friends and they were amazed by this place. They asked me how I found it and I was like "um, hello! I'm a Yelper!" We also got a strawberry Tres Leches cake for just $15. We got home and tasted it and it was one of the best we've had in Lexington. It was not soggy, not overly sweet but had so tasty. A Tamale vendor was just setting up outside when we left. There's also a restaurant next door that we did not go to as we'd already eaten at Ali Baba's. Now I know where to get my sweet tooth fix when I'm near this side of town. With such authentic, fresh, delicious treats at such low prices, it can't be beat.

My first trip to the Panaderia was in high school when our Spanish teacher from Oaxaca took our class here on a field trip. Although I've never been to Mexico, I will take my teacher's word for it that it is an authentic Mexican bakery. Regardless- the pastries are delicious! Not super-sweet, but always fresh and lots of variety. You pick the pastries from the cases "cafeteria style" with trays and tongs. They are all so colorful and artfully decorated, it's so tempting to grab one of each- and with their low pricing- would be totally feasible.

The variety is overwhelming and everything is tasty. Enough said. They don't speak English but you can get along just well, grab a tray and some tongs and grab what looks good, pretty much all of it. May want to get there early for a better selection but they seem to replenish throughout the day. 5 stars
