Ok, I encountered a first while visiting the Seelbach. Someone who crossed out items on the in room dining menu warning others not to order it!! I love it!! This is def a person who needs to be a yelper if not already!!So, I ordered soup and salad for lunch which was perfect. The pecans, raspberry vinegerette, and strawberries were a real treat, along with the tomato soup.Dinner. This is where we had problems. The pasta was swimming in oil. Swimming in oil. Yes it was. And because I was recovering from a cold, not feeling well, I ate what I could, and left the rest. I think it was supposed to be a pesto sauce, but it failed. It did not make it. And that's a shame, because lunch was so good.

Deceivingly lovely atmosphere. Yucko on the food-o. Went for lunch. No soup for you! No chef's soup du jour was prepared when I went, only the daily offerings of creamy corn and french onion, both too much fat and salt for me. So no soup.My lunch entree, the salmon for $17, was nasty. It was described as: grilled salmon served with asparagus spears and new potato salad. My salmon arrived served swimming in a pool of white creamy grease, hmm strange, not what you expect when you order a grilled fish. The asparagus translated into exactly 2 spears cut in half. The salmon was poor quality. Tried to eat without white creamy grease. Somewhat failed mission.Oh and that potato salad? That was the white creamy grease. There were tiny tid bits of potato chunked in it. You could see the liquified lard separating from the white creamy slime. This meal was so gross!!!!My dining company also did not like their entree it was also overly fatified like my lunch. Yuk. I do not settle to eat this kind of food and do not want to be on the road to having a weight problem, so I will not return.

I ate breakfast here a couple of times while at hotel. The breakfast was standard. Nothing fancy, but they offer a normal buffet and off the menu options. Wasn't blown away by anything. Service was a tad slow.

The burgers or fried chicken are both really good. The sides are good but are uninspiring. Atmosphere and service are average.

Otto's is attached to the Seelbach hotel in Louisville. I only stopped in for the buffet breakfast which was pleasant enough but if I had the time I would have gone looking for a local mom & pop instead.
