Osaka Japanese Restaurant

9/14/24My husband and I ordered some take out from here, and the food was hot and ready upon pickup. When I arrived to pick up our order, there was barely any parking near by which is always a great sign of a busy restaurant. The ambiance inside was very pleasant and nicely decorated. We ordered medium rare steak meal with white rice, white sauce salad, Kani salad and an order of crab Rangoon. It was all perfectly cooked and very tasty. We throughly enjoyed our dinner!

I absolutely love Osaka. Sushi is fresh and delicious. Service is quick. The restaurant is very pretty and music plays soft enough to hear one another speak. Take advantage of their lunch specials!!!

Staff was nice, miso soup was good, but the sushi roll I got, which was a Philadelphia roll, was not great. The size was good, but the smoked salmon they put in it had a large vein of cartilage in every single piece making it hard to chew and swallow. I didn't try to send it back as I was tired and just trying to get something down so I could get back to my Airbnb and get some rest. I don't get up to Lexington very often, and next time I'll probably go somewhere else for sushi.

My freshman wanted to share some of her favorite places and this was one. The restaurant itself is somewhat bland decor wise and it's in a strip mall, but they were pretty busy on a Saturday between 3-4 pm, which is always a good sign.The food came out super fast. It was all excellent. My oishii roll was one of the better ones I've had. My daughter's chicken teriyaki came out on a sizzling platter. The chicken katsu was nice and crispy. My younger daughter ordered ramen and it was good, but a little bland according to my budding critic.Service was super attentive. Multiple people came by during the meal to refill waters, check to make sure the food was okay, quickly clear plates, box our left overs and bring the check. I like how many options are on the menu; lots of interesting and different rolls. Prices were reasonable, but we missed the lunch specials which would have been even better.

We have eaten a lot of different Asian food in Lexington. Japanese is our favorite when choosing a cuisine and Osaka is our favorite. Their menu is diverse and each time we order, we find something we love. We appreciate that there are more choices with fish and eel. We always order take out, which is easy using the app, and have never been disappointed when we open our bag, as our order is always complete and hot. Obviously, everyone else likes them because the restaurant seems to busy whenever we come in. That's a great sign. The food is excellent, service is detail oriented and price is reasonable!

My friend and I read rave reviews and went for some sushi. While the prices were reasonable, the sushi was subpar at best, largely because of dried out sushi rice and rubbery nori. These are two things that are easy to get right, but they definitely affected our interest in ordering any more than two rolls (glad we decided to go slow on ordering).

Great restaurant and great service. This place is always busy on a Sunday but really worth the wait. Kid friendly and average noise but the food is excellent. I always get sushi and the miso soup. Can never go wrong with that

First, you will be hard-pressed to find a better sushi restaurant in Lexington or the surrounding area. The food is always So fresh and perfectly made. Second, Sarah the owner, is absolutely the kindest and most welcoming host. She always checks in on us when we visit, and makes sure everything is made to each diner's preferences. It makes such a difference to come to a restaurant (or any place of business really) and be recognized by name and a genuine, "Thank you!" We feel like we're visiting with friends. Service has been very fast. Good soup and salad starter. Atmosphere feels traditional and Presentation of the food is exceptional. Sushi seems to be very high quality, I got the firecracker roll. Meat came out very hot and appears to be a solid cut of steak. Overall really enjoyed my time at this restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who wants really good service, Japanese food, and good prices.
