I recently visited Paristown Hall to see a band (Violent Femmes) perform. I had never been to the venue and was pretty excited to check it out.The venue itself is very spacious and acoustics (at least if you're on the main floor) were pretty good. The show sounded and looked great. The outside of the venue is very cute and I liked how the band's merchandise booth was set up right outside of the venue. The security staff were top notch and very polite, as was the staff member checking our tickets. However, I had issues with one of the bartenders. Upon entry, my friend and I excitedly scurried to the bar. The bartender, a young woman, asked me what I wanted and I told her. She was very demeaning to me when I was trying to make a selection and asking for help choosing a whiskey. She raised her voice at me, talked to me like I'm stupid, and made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.I make it a point to be kind and treat service workers with respect, as well as tip very generously. I did not want to argue with the demeaning bartender or cause a scene, so I simply avoided her the rest of the night. The fact that the drinks are very expensive and that the attitude that comes along with them is horrendous means that I really can't rate this venue any higher. I also wanted to come see Night of the Living Dead at this venue this month, but I don't think I will after all.P.S. The whiskey sour was like $18 after tipping and the worst I've had in Louisville, sorry.

We arrived for a Friday night Violent Femmes concert in October and this was a first time visit for me to this venue. Bag checks and security were efficient and the scan for my ticket QR code made it simple and easy. This venue has a large bar across the entire back wall, which is on the opposite side of the room from the entrance. The restrooms are located on the left front side of the building when facing the bar. A large balcony for the VIP patrons wraps around the second level for more than half of the room in a horseshoe shape. It appears to also have a decent amount of seating. This is in contrast to the ground floor general admission area, which is standing only. Over 2 to 3 hours of standing on a concrete floor is a foot annihilator, but was so worth it to me this time around. Stage was able to be seen fairly well from most vantage points. Projection images of the stage were seen on 2 walls on either side, which helped supplement what we could see. Sound system was top notch. I'm still half-deaf almost a day and a half later. I'll probably take at least some light hearing protection with me to future events. Overall, great venue. Good value. Plenty of nearby parking and places to dine before/after events.

This was a fantastic concert venue to see The Band Camino at; Bad Suns and the WLDLFE headlined, which made for an unforgettable experience. The venue itself was roomy, clean, and has great headliners.

Visited Paristown Hall for the flea market. Was expecting more vendors but there were some interesting items available. Enjoyed exploring the food vendors and was amazing by the revamped Cafe!

It's like a high school gymnasium but with a couple of really long brightly lit bars with one bartender each that serve WEAK drinks. Best advice is don't order booze because it's a waste of $ AND I love old fo. Old Forester is a great go to bourbon. If the concert or event has seats, don't bother. They are soooo uncomfortable plastic chairs. And everyone loves to chit chat during a concert here. Not sure why the crowds talk instead of dance, rock out, sing along. I've been to 4 concerts hoping each one will be better than the last but sadly nope.

Got to visit inside the Hall for the first time this afternoon while volunteering for the KY Performing Arts Center. I had been wanting to check out the venue, which was lovely. Large open area and an upstairs wrap around mezzanine with couches in nice seating arrangements. The play was a Stage One production. Great set and stage set up for little kiddos. They had several activities stations for the kids, making paper snowflakes, building snowmen out of white painted and decorated boxes, Christmas card making. There were 3 large bars, two downstairs and one up, cool venue, great location. Bartenders were selling drinks and snacks and were polite. Only thing, if you're seeing a concert, it is standing only unless you spring for the VIP seats upstairs. Plenty of street and parking lot parking available.

No place to park within reasonable walking distance;I don't want to bring lawn chairs nor suffer through standing room only venue. Crazy. I guess the audience id under 35 folks. To be fair we have not been yet seems very intimidating unless you're under 30.

Came in October to see a band. The security was quick and friendly, they only had one entrance for security & tickets. Once we were in, we made our way upstairs to the seated section. We attempted to get drink at the bar upstairs but there was only one bartender and a line. Downstairs at the bigger bar, it looked like they are more selections and bartenders available. We were able to order and pay for our drinks fairly quickly. The seating upstairs was nice and seemed clean but the lighting is dark. The bathrooms were very clean and well stocked, I noticed staff going around trying to clean but in our section there was a lot of drinks all over most of the tables. Overall we had a great time, the view was good, the sound was great. Downside, they only have a limited space parking a lot so it's fend for yourself street parking.

Paristown Hall is a pretty cool place. It's bigger than Headliners and the Mercury Ballroom, but smaller than the Louisville Palace. They're currently getting some decent names to come perform there in their opening season (Wu-Tang, Judah & the Lion, etc.). Not bad, honestly. The location is pretty cool. East Broadway has historically been neglected. Smoketown-Jackson and Paristown Pointe have had almost no investment in decades. So Paristown Hall is very welcome. And they've done an incredible job with this space. They've even repaved the roads around here and planted some trees. Just a complete overhaul. Well done to Brown-Forman.It's a big, open space. A couple tables with some stools. I think they can get rid of the tables. Just kind of in the way.Bartenders need to be more mindful about how much they serve. The concert we went to, there was a guy that had WAAAYYYYY too much to drink. It wasn't a good situation at all.No matter where you are in the hall, you will be able to see. No issues here. They've don't a great job with this space.Control the temperature in the building and watch how much you serve your patrons, and you might find yourselves getting 5*.
