Not sure why this review is still in draft. I thought I published a while ago. You will not find better quality Korean food at better prices than at Oh Chae. The diner- style restaurant is casual and easy going. The owner goes out of her way to make you feel at home and give an authentic Korean dining experience.

So my son took me out for lunch for my birthday to O'Shea Korean fusion cuisine in New Albany, Indiana. Of course this was purely selfish on his part because he absolutely loves this place because he is so enamored by the food so it was no heartache when I said hey I wanna go get that mackerel I didn't get the last time when I came. He said sure mama let's go with a big smile on his face little did I know here? I thought I was gonna have to pay for my meal, but he actually paid for it which warmed my heart. He had the Korean hamburger which at first thought. I thought there was something wrong because he took a bite in his face just went blank. I said are you OK? He said mama this is so good. I had to get serious. Who knew but he is serious about his food honestly and I ordered the mackerel and on a whim since it was my birthday. I asked the owner if she could make me some birthday soup, she was kind of surprised that I knew what the birthday soup was, and what it comprised of and what it was for, but was more than happy to make it for me so we established the price that I was gonna pay since it's not an on the menu item, everybody was happy when it came out it was in a sizzling boiling bubbling bowl of stone that I knew better than to right away tried to eat anything cause I didn't wanna burn my lips off which I did end up burning my tongue a few times because yeah I'm greedy anyway the food was absolutely fabulous. This made my birthday such a special special treat and I wanna thank her for making that soup for me because it warmed my heart because the last time I had it was, I made it but it's a very nourishing soup that is good for so many differen

We have tried to get in to this restaurant for so long, but it's always been closed. We were so excited when we finally were able to try this authentic restaurant. There was just the owner and chef working when we came in and she was welcoming, explained the meal and answered all of our questions. The setting is pretty sparse, but that is due to the shared space of this restaurant. Mesa is also housed here, but that's not for this review. I had a wonderful bowl of Ramyeon and my husband had Bibimbop. They offer small bowls of a variety of kimchi and different kind of radishes with spice and without spice for the table to share while waiting for your meal. Can't wait to bring my son to this place. It was great.

What a hidden little gem! Delicious Korean food served with a little flair of local produce (straight from the chefs garden). Delicious flavors and the right amount of spice. We enjoyed a variety of dishes that all went well together. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and wanting something different

If ever there was a "happy accident," this was it! After getting chased off I-64 in New Albany, IN, by a severe thunderstorm, we landed at OhChae Korean Fusion Cuisine on Pearl Street and, "Oh, my goodness!" was it ever delicious! The best part was getting to watch "Jenny and Koto" work their magic in the open kitchen as we sat around the bar, taking in all the smells and snacking on the generous assortment of fermented appetizers. When you go, and trust me on this, you have to try the tomato kimchi and then the spicy chicken Bulgolgi. Sitting there lost in the warmth of Jenny's gracious hospitality, all I could do was eat, smile, and say, "Let it rain!" Hoping to return for her cooking demonstrations on 8/2/24! Join me!

The food is truly authentic! I can attest to this as someone who spent 5 years studying the Korean language and culture and living there for a year. The owner is also the chef and she is very personable and will chat with the customers as time permits! I suggest sitting at the bar so as to take in the enormous efforts to prepare your meal!

Great service! We order off the lunch menu- squid stir fry and chicken bibimbap. Great flavor and quality. Good price points. The kimchi banchan was good, too. Would come back for lunch!

Searching Yelp for a different place to eat and fell upon this kind of diamond in the rough. This location is located for now in the same location as Mesa, A Live Dining Show. They source this location for now to build there business. The food is very good with a fairly simplified menu, but some great Korean infused recipes. We had the Korean hamburger and Spicy Bulgogi with white rice and a few samplers of side dishes.Susie and Jenny were super nice and explained any of our questions we had. Very nice people overall! The rice was nicely prepared and the pork with sliced carrot and onion with a scallion garnish and a few pieces of crisp lettuce. The sauce was just right temperature of spice. My wife had the Korean hamburger had a nice spice to it and neat is marinated in the special sauce, onion, stir fried kimchi, lettuce and cucumber. Everything was very tasty. We had samples of kimchi, cucumber, Mandew, beef bone broth w/rice patty soup, Gyeran-Mari, green beans and a sweet/sour spring salad. All were delicious but the Mandew and salad were favored at this sitting. The kitchen is spacious setting and can sit at the kitchen counter and watch preparation or you can sit at an island seating as well. I'm glad we gave it a try and hope to be back one day soon. Hope you try them and help establish a new business to the area. Open Friday to Tuesday Lunch on Friday and Saturday only 10am-2pmSunday to Tuesday 10am-930pm full service.

Incredibly fresh - prepared in front of you and cooked to perfection. Owner provided a great sampler of different kimchis that were heavenly. Hidden gem in Louisville area - well worth the drive across the bridge!
