Sushi / AmericanAn unexpected find in the wilds of Jasper, IN.Having the need to be in Jasper for a work event, the entire team met up at Ohana for after work dinner / drinks.The place bills itself as a "Sushi Bar & Grill" and yea, that is pretty much what it is: a bunch of Japanese style foods right up there with the American fried pickles and stuff. An unexpected combo, but it works.The apps were all pretty good, and we ordered almost all of them to get a good cross section for everyone to try: fried pickles, fried gyoza, beer battered mushrooms, calamari and chicken wings, just to name a few. All came out perfectly cooked, hot and tasty. The mains were numerous as there were about 20 of us, so I can attest to the sushi rolls only: I had both the dragon and tiger rolls and both were good sized and rolled / presented nicely. Somewhat unexpected in the middle of Jasper.The selection of mains is extensive with everything from seafood to burgers, sushi to pasta and even Asian style dishes. There is one person apparently that makes the sushi rolls, and she knows what she is doing.The only downside we experienced was that they seemed unprepared for us and we had a lot of fits and starts with getting drinks and food coming out. The food runner was a younger dude and he was just out of his element with who was supposed to get what: he would just yell them out as he brought them to the table and hoped someone would recognize what they ordered.Overall a good time. The place looks pretty large with plenty of tables and seats at the sushi bar, so if in the mood for something new, give it a shot.Parking all around the perimeter.

Great place in Jasper for sushi and drinks. Great prices especially for the cocktails. Fresh sushi! Drank the Tokyo tea that was on the cocktail menu. Loved the taste of it! The salad and sushi was fresh and tasted great. Ordered the sushi and sashimi combo and it was enough for two to split because we each had a cocktail and salad. Our server was friendly, nice, and helpful. She checked on us frequently and thanked us for eating here. Will be back the next time I'm in Jasper.

All of sushi was not only delicious, but beautiful too. We both enjoyed the craft beer selections.

Enjoyed the staff here. Cool bunch of cats that are full of life. Food is very good but divination liberties to what I would consider traditional recipes are still very yummy but I'm a purist when it comes to Hawaiian bbq chicken or a mocha loco. Sushi dishes are very very good. Looking forward to coming back soon!

The sushi is good, for jasper. Like, pretty damn good. But the rest? Overpriced. And the menu is so assorted! That's not always a good thing. I had the hot momma roll and pork loin. The pork loin was okay but the description said tender and eh... my boyfriend had to take the sausage off his German burger to get rid of the fridge taste. Also, they put chives on every thing.

New Look Ohana!!!This joint makes me feel like I'm not in Jasper. I can't express how much this place needed the new facelift. The new menu, the new floor plan, the new look, everything was great about this place! If you are a sushi fan, the Lion Roll was the best. We went on their first Friday back open and the place was PACKED! The crew did an outstanding job making sure we got our food in a a timely manner and we were well taken care of by the staff!

I had crab rangoon for an appetizer and Salmon for my meal. Both were good. Service was good and restaurant appeared clean.

Great food and Staff I eat about 2 meals a week hear and never have had bad food or bad experience. Always good and consistent. Thank you for a great Job
