If you get a chance to check out the Louisville Orchestra you should. They played the Ogle Center tonight.
Here for the Frank Oz talk. The main auditorium is full, so I'm in the overflow seating theatre where they are live-streaming.

I feel fortunate to have caught a performance of the Louisville Orchestra here at the concert hall. While I love to see them at Whitney Hall across the river, the Ogle Center offers a much more intimate experience with its comparatively small 500 seats, the main drawback being that you have to find your way to suburban Indiana. The acoustics are good too. You lose a bit of good vibes not having downtown at your doorstep, but hey, a good opportunity to hit one of the good Mexican restaurants on the sunny side on your way to the show.

A true gem of a room. Very much worth a visit if you see an event that matches your interests.

This is a smaller concert venue, but it works well where it counts: The sound carried well, and even from the back row, you can easily see everything on stage.I attended a Louisville Orchestra concert at the Ogle Center over the weekend. And I was impressed with how accessible and easy it was to take in the concert. Our seats were in the middle of the last row, but like I said, this did not seem to diminish the performance. It was also easy to get into and out of our seats. The ushers were helpful showing us where to go. And there is a large parking lot right outside the concert venue. It takes a few minutes to find the Ogle Center once you're in IUS, though. I wish there were more signs directing folks where to go. But rest assured that when you do find it, you're in for a great show.

My family attended a performance by Mariachis Herencia. Mariachis Herencia is a group of 14 Mexican American teenagers keeping the Mariachi tradition alive. The group is from Chicago and real professionals. An absolutely great performance. The Stem Concert Hall at Ogle, is a smaller more intimate setting than many other venues. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. Additionally, if you make the trip to the IUS box office, they are very accommodating explaining seating and the best seats available at the time. You can also buy tickets on line if you don't want to make the drive to the Ogle.Another perk to the Ogle, ample and FREE parking. Also easily accessible off 265 in Indiana. One final thought, I can't understand anyone not liking Mariachi music. It's upbeat happy music. It's passionate music. It's fun music. Yes you may not understand the Spanish lyrics, but people enjoy Opera and can't understand Italian!
