This little cafe is honestly great. It's got good food, even better prices, and friendly staff. What more could you ask for?I ordered their angus burger, which is the same thing as a regular burger but it has less fat, making it a leaner burger. I ordered mine with cheese, bbq sauce, and no fixings because I don't eat that anyway and it would be a waste. Burgers come standard with fries but they also have other accommodating sides. During the wait, people were steadily coming and going, walking around talking to each other, and had a very friendly atmosphere. Food was brought out after a short 10-15 minute wait, and tasted delicious with the bbq sauce. My only complaint about my meal was the fries. They didn't taste good or really have any flavor at all. Otherwise, a really good lunch.

Sometimes you need a good down-home Southern meal. This place delivers in spades. I had the Truck Stop Breakfast plus coffee... and for less than $10 ($9.41 to be exact) they sold me for life. The pancakes were fluffy and huge, and the biscuit was divine, buttery and not too dense. The sausage gravy could have used a little more flavor, but a pinch of salt took care of that. The bacon was thick-cut and crisp but not overdone. The eggs and grits, however, were the items that made my eyes roll back. It's very difficult to cook a perfect over-medium egg, and they did it twice. The grits were amazing, the perfect consistency. It's very easy to get them too thick or too soupy, but these were perfect. The hash brown was a bit of a letdown, and the only reason they didn't get 5 stars. It was pretty much the same as you would get at any fast food chain, a fried slab of chopped potato. The waitress was friendly and chipper (as were the regulars in the dining room), got to me promptly, and checked back often. She succeeded in avoiding my pet peeve: asking how everything is before I've even tasted it. I discovered that the waitress' parents ran the place and were doing the cooking in the back.A family-owned, family-run restaurant: It skipped past the pitfalls this kind of business can fall into and lodged firmly in my keeper list.

We have working nearby and eating lunch almost everyday day. The home fried potatoes are awesome and the chili is great. But the part is the pie. Pecan pie with some ice cream!Great service!

This is a good old time cafe. The omelet was well made with fresh ingredients and the gravy was homemade with very good sausage. The only complaint I have is that after making a great well crafted omelet and scratch made gravy, the hash browns were the frozen patty type that you throw in the deep fryer. Same as you would get at McD's or some other fast food place. The waitress was friendly and food came out quickly. I will give it only 3 stars because of the hash browns. I'll be back next time I'm in the area and hopefully try the lunch/dinner menu.

Nice little Roadhouse style Truck Stop hiding on US 41..... Truck parking in the rear... there Coffee cup says it all "Not Fancy, just good food". The service was ok, the service was a little slow seeing as I was the only one there. She never asked if I needed a refill or a warm up of my drink or IF I wanted anything else. It is a nice find just the same for a place to park and get a bite.

Those reviews must be from owners or friends. This place is terrible. It stinks like an old cheap motel. Thursday soul food special was a joke. Canned green beans with mush bacon - uneatable. Mashed potatoes and gravy - canned gravy and powered potatoes - awful. Chicken fried steak was crispy but really not very good. Service was good. Plenty of parking. Next time here I think there is pizza next door. Will try that. This place is a pass.

My favorite breakfast place. Diversified menu with down home taste. They make their own gravy add a biscuit some eggs and crisp bacon and coffee for a great meal . Can also not go wrong with their fluffy pancakes. Pleasant owners and staff. Also can get gas and diesel for reasonable prices.
