This place is really beautiful at night and worth a trip though there are a few things to consider. First, they advertise live music, we went in the 5-7p time slot and there was nobody playing music. I can't find anything on the site about music starting at a specific time. Also they mention multiple food trucks but only one was available so we didn't eat there. Aside from the lack of specifics on what to expect, it was an enjoyable hour exploring the amazing gingerbread house displays and looking at the lights.

For six weeks leasing up to Christmas the Mustard Seed Hill campus is converted into a winter wonderland. The grounds feature magnificent light displays including an illuminated archway, beautiful Christmas tree, a nativity scene, and a host of other light displays.Allen House, the magnificent special event venue is decorated for the holidays and open for tours.Be sure to check the each weekend's schedule as some weekends have local craft and food vendors set up in a e around the Artisan market .Of course, it's not Christmas without cookies and gingerbread houses! Be sure to check out the cookie decorating and the gingerbread house exhibit.Oh, did I forget to me mention that admission to the grounds/displays is free! Just book your tickets on line! Be sure to book early admission is limited.

Little did we know this place existed until a few months ago until it appeared on my Facebook feed. Intrigued by the holiday lights display I decided to look into it. My wife asked if they had overnight accommodations. The answer was yes so we planned an overnight stay which included a visit to nearby Paris, Kentucky. We were able to get a room in the old McIntire Hall of which there are 8 units. Do note that this serves as a B&B rather than a hotel property. As there are no staff there you will receive an email 24 hours prior to arrival with the code for entrance to the building and room plus other pertinent information. Our room was large and supplied with towels, shampoo, etc. with a view of the Christmas lights at light. Another chair or a small table/desk would have been nice, however, there is a spacious shared great room nearby with coffee, tea, and an assortment of muffins and breakfast bars for the the next morning for guests. The refrigerator has milk, apple juice and orange juice for guests plus a couple of jugs of bottled water. Entrance to the Christmas lights are included with the overnight stay. The Christmas lights display is quite lovely and the gingerbread houses are stunning. There is also an artisans market and a large heated tent offering pastries with live music during the event(Thursday night through Sunday night). The staff who are there during the event have been very friendly and helpful. As of now Millersburg doesn't have any dining or shopping options so nearby Paris, Kentucky is the best place for dining, shopping and attractions. Hopefully in the future the Millersburg revitalization project will bring in needed dining and shopping options for guests.

We went back last night, After 7:30 the crowd wasn't bad.We toured the house & it's beautiful.A group out Lexington bought the grounds, They have spent loads of money on the place in renovations and updates.Everything about the grounds is 1st class. I can see this being a great wedding destination in warm weather. This isn't far behind shaker village for Christmas set up.

If you are looking for a venue that provides southern charm and hospitality, then look no further. Every little detail has been given love and attention to ensure this event space is the "My Old Kentucky Home" of the central Kentucky area. Megan Fightmaster is the event coordinator and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. Words cannot express how invaluable she was throughout the planning process and implementation of my niece's wedding. Megan and her team help make dreams come true!To see how Mustardseed Hill can help make your dreams come true, watch the YouTube video by TSProductions. Enough wonderful things cannot be said. The venue is beautiful, perfectly appointed and provides a sweet balance of elegance and history. From the first meeting with Shawn and Megan we were confident our event would be a success. Both of them went above and beyond to ensure every detail was attended to. They are professional, hard working but most importantly they are genuinely caring and kind. I look forward to the opportunity to work with them again!

This property is absolutely gorgeous!!! It is being restored to it's former beauty. They offer rooms for wedding parties, receptions, meetings, the gym holds basketball tournaments. The Christmas light display was fantastic! Love that they are restoring the old Millersburg Military Institute campus and not destroying the architecture and history, but allowing future generations to experience it in a new way.
