Monarca Authentic Mexican Restaurant

We were in the area and were looking for somewhere we had never been before. Found Monarco and decided to give it a try. Glad we did. They have all the usual Mexican food, but everything on the plate had flavor. Chips and salsa-not greasy, hint of spice in salsa. I got the chicken chimichangas-excellent, fried crispy and covered with queso, but the queso was tasty. The refried beans were a nice deep brown color, not gray. My husband got the chipotle chicken quesadilla. He really enjoyed it and ate all his rice. I had a strawberry margarita, small house tequila, frozen. It wasn't too sweet and it was good. They have premium margaritas and I may try one next time. I recommend Monarca, service is fast and friendly. They seem to care you get things the way you want them. My husband is not an onion person and the server made sure to not it and they got it right. Best Mexican we have had in a while.

We have been here several times now and have had impeccable service every time. The food is delicious. the restaurant appears very clean, and is very pretty/well-lit inside. Has a very cute patio also. We've enjoyed the Cancun burrito, steak tacos, enchiladas, torta, quesabirria, cheese dip, and salsa. Coke products

A local Mexican Restaurant with decent food, large portions and Margaritas. Indoor/Outdoor seating. Friendly, attentive staff. This isn't the absolute best Mexican food I have ever eaten but it's good and I would go back.

New place opening soon, took the place of the old Lexington Diner in Commonwealth Plaza. Super clean and super nice people. Looking forward to it opening!

The food was great. The chicken fajita nachos were delicious. The service was great also, all the servers were helping each other. The lights could be dimmed a little for ambiance. I will return without a doubt

Quick lunch with my wife. Always a pleasure eating here!! Service was superb and QUICK. We ate off the lunch menu. We were so hungry II forgot to get pictures of our food . Love this place!! Highly recommend.

I've eaten at nearly every "authentic" Mexican restaurant in town, and Monarca is now my favorite. Excellent service and and exciting menu choices lays the foundation for an outstanding meal. We have visited for both lunch and dinner and found no difference in food quality or service. Highly recommend !

Met a friend at Monarca on Lane Allen Road today for lunch. She got a chicken fajita burrito, I got the huarache sencillo. Huarache was tasty but I would have liked more topping, my friend said her burrito was fantastic, and the lunch portion was beyond generous. Chips were nothing special but I always like when there are multiple salsas available. Green was flavorful but not all all spicy to me, red also good flavor and would be pretty hot for most. Prompt and friendly service. Overall Monarca won't be topping La Taquiza Taqueria Centro or El Rancho Tapatio as favorites for me, but I would go again if a friend suggested it.
