Mom's Diner

Mom's Diner is small and intimate and well loved. It's an unexpected oasis in Oakland City which is near my father's home town if Petersburg.We loved the friendliness of everyone in the restaurant when we arrived ... they recommended biscuits and gravy, someone else recommended the tenderloin sandwich. My SO ordered the tenderloin with a side of onion rings... they have every right to boast bragging rights on the tenderloin! I got the fried fish sandwich (battered)... also delicious. It is of the beaten path for us but was definitely impressed.

Amazing! You won't find a place like this very often. If you're anywhere near Mom's diner, you owe it to yourself to stop in! The waffle was perfectly done--tender and sweet. The eggs were done right and the prices were ridiculous. Where in the world would you get a Waffle for $2.50?Misty was new but delightful and friendly. And I even got to meet Mom. The boss lady. What a wonderful sense of humor and what really nice people they are.You owe it to yourself to stop in at Mom's. Friendly staff, great food, and real laughter... along with plenty of small town character. Their menu selection is huge. I'm stopping back every chance I get.

This place isn't fancy inside or outside, but you are guaranteed to get your money's worth! My husband ordered the pancakes and was astounded to get three huge, thick, fluffy cakes for a mere $3.50! We also tried the biscuits and gravy (available without sausage, thank you!) and the French toast. Everything was tasty and the staff are very friendly. You won't be inspired by the looks of the place, but you'll be coming back for more the delicious digs!

Hometown, homemade cooking just like days of old. So delicious! We were in the area for a disc golf tournament. So glad we stopped here for breakfast.

One of our local go to places. They have tasty strombolis and calzones (this is all I've had there) hubby and kids live their burgers and banana split . Locally owned the family and staff are super nice!

On our way home we stopped for breakfast. Drive right past Denny's and go to Moms Diner. Trust me. Pancakes were fluffy and scrumptious. French Toast was soft and delightful. Bacon is just the way you want it. All for a better price than anywhere within 30 mins

The food is good and the server was nice and polite. It cost a little bit more than what we expected but other than that it was great.

What a wonderful place! The staff is amazing and the food is great. They serve breakfast all day, which is a nice option. Great small town diner with great food.

Good food and service! Nice small town atmosphere. Staff is friendly and helpful. They will pretty much make you whatever you want as long as they have the ingredients. They have daily lunch specials. You can get breakfast at anytime. Their pizza and breadsticks are amazing!
