We went for wing week and ordered the classic wings they had in special. They were fantastic. A good size, juicy, so well seasoned they didn't even need sauce. I also enjoyed the 3 sauces on the table (vinegar, bbq, spicy). The service was also excellent, very patient and kind with our large group. I called ahead the day before to make sure they were able to accommodate so many people and when we had a couple extra the day of they were able to grab some extra chairs.

EDIT: For clarity, this review is for a visit for Saturday, 8/10/2024 (not Labor Day weekend) and only 3 tables were being served on the patio at the time of our visit. Our party of 6 stopped in here for a late Saturday night dinner and were seated on the outdoor deck and patio area. It felt like I was in someone's back yard and not necessarily in a nice neighborhood. Furniture and deck could use a good hosing. Waitstaff appeared to be a bit overwhelmed, stretched too thin. We experienced this firsthand and also witnessed it at the tables around us. Orders had to be repeated multiple times (maybe write it down?), drinks were brought to the table sporadically and not necessarily what we had ordered, and some patrons gave up on receiving what they had ordered and ultimately decided to close out their tab and call it a night. I decided to order the burnt ends dinner based upon a secondhand recommendation and that will be the last time I do that. I tried a few bites of each item and decided to box it to go, thinking maybe I just wasn't as hungry as I originally thought, but ultimately decided even with a reheat the following day that it wasn't for me. My pup was happy, so it wasn't a total loss. Bland, blah, meh. Overdone, flavorless. I am a champion of mom and pop's businesses, and I'm glad some of my friends enjoy this cuisine, but it's just not for me. My friends seemed to enjoy their wings, meatloaf, and chili and cornbread. However, I did notice that no one raved or wiped out their plates and a couple also ended up taking theirs to go.

Momma's was a nice place to get some barbecue. I got the burnt ends with mac and cheese and cheezy corn.I had heard a lot about Momma's and how great it was, but to be honest it didn't seem like anything special to me. The burnt ends were good, but a little salty for my liking. The mac and cheese and cheezy corn were good as well, but nothing seemed particularly outstanding. Still it was good food. The environment was nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was a cozy place that I enjoyed.I had heard great things about Momma's BBQ, but honestly it was just a decent barbecue joint for me. Good food, nothing crazy.

First time at Momma's & it did not disappoint! We went on a Wednesday around 6:00pm. We had to circle the block once but were able to find a parking spot down the street. The inside of restaurant was busy. Lots of full booths and tables with large parties. Luckily we were able to find 2 spots at the bar. We ordered our food & it came out within 10 minutes. I got the pulled pork sandwich with fries & green beans. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, & flavorful. The fires were perfectly seasoned & just so yum! The green beans were juicy & flavorful as well. My boyfriend ordered the smoked wings. It was fall-off-the-bone tender & full of flavor. We will definitely be back!

This place is quite cute. It is a house. Once you enter it, you pick your own seat. I prefer go up because of the natural light. The waiter and waitress are nice and warming. The menu looks great. I have been here twice and always love their burnt end and the old fashioned too.My family love it there too. We all agreed that the mac and cheese was the best thing but we do enjoy the smoked meats too. This is the place we would come back for more.

Don't sleep on the slaw! Best I've ever had. Fried bread and butter pickles were delicious. Our group got pulled, pork, burnt ends, brisket, and smoked salmon. Brisket was the crowd favorite. As far as sides go, here they are in our order of preference: mac n cheese, baked beans, slaw, French fries, green beans.

The wings looked good but that's about it, it's hard to enjoy a dry rub flavor on greasy & fatty wings, some wings were undercooked

Yelp helped us out with this one. We were downtown having just been to Barrels & Billets and Michter's but were tired of being out in the rain and wanted to grab food to take back to our hotel room. I think I did a general search for dinner and Momma's popped up. The crew was down for BBQ so we placed our orders online and headed over. Parking was pretty easy; we got a spot right out front. Once inside we realized it was PACKED! Families with kids milling about, servers bustling around, and a line nearly out the door for take out order. Guess we all had the same ides at the same time. Made that parking spot seem all the more serendipitous. They were a bit behind and told us would be another 15 min so we ran across the street to Walgreen's. After our short shopping excursion we grabbed our food and headed out.Back at the hotel I cracked open a beef ribs, half a chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cheese corn. The potatoes were fine but arguably an odd side dish for BBQ. The cheese corn was like a mac n cheese bechamel with corn instead of noodles. Kinda weird and definitely not worth the starchy calories for me. The chicken and ribs were absolutely delicious! Perfectly smoked, tender, juicy and well-seasoned. Everything you want from good BBQ. The selection of sauces (im not usually a condiment kinda gal) were quite tasty too. Good find!

Famous BBQ joint as shown on Food Network that provides okay BBQ. I'd advise going across the street to City for better options. The BBQ was cold like it was pulled from the fridge with the sides it came with. The service wasn't anything to write home about. The decor of the restaurant was nice but didn't put me in mind if a BBQ joint.
