Our group of 11 met here for a late lunch and decided to dine outside at metal picnic tables placed on the gravel patio. A couple of canvas sails provided some sun coverage. Members of our group ordered 1 and 2 piece fish and chips dinners, cheeseburgers, leek potato soup, and vegetarian chili and everyone was pleased. I ordered a Harp lager and the mushroom appetizer, which arrived with 4 very large planks of portabella mushroom and a spicy aioli sauce. Very substantial and satisfying. Service was great, especially considering we were out on the patio with a few other sizable groups, and food service was fairly rapid. Refills were available and bills were settled fast.

Molly Malone's is one of my favorite Irish Pubs in Louisville. Friendly staff, amazing patio, and a great selection of Irish beers/ciders and authentic food. The fish and chips is my go to and my husband and I always split it!

"What's a nice teetotaling vegan like you doing in an Irish pub?," you might ask. "Apparently enjoying some of the most delicious vegan food I've had in quite some time," I would respond.Holy smokes, y'all - Molly Malone's may be one of Louisville's best-kept vegan secrets. We sampled:- Chicken fried mushrooms (portabellas breaded in whole wheat beer batter, accompanied by fabulous dill pickle ranch dipping sauce).- Vegan spicy chicken sandwich (served on properly thick slices of bread with a generous amount of toppings).- Vegan Reuben. Oh. This sandwich. The rye bread is exquisite - the strong flavor holds its own against tangy sauerkraut and beautifully seasoned tempeh. The vegan cheese and thousand island dressing are truly glorious. I nearly cried when I took my first bite - this is hands down my new favorite sandwich.- Both sandwiches come with steak fries (chips, actually - per our server who recently relocated from Ireland). There are multiple other vegan options we have yet to try (but plan to), including chicken tenders, crispy Brussel sprouts, spicy cauliflower wings, and shepherd's pie.The pricing is reasonable for the quality - not inexpensive enough that I would visit all the time (although I'd love to), but absolutely worth it when you do. I'm going to be dreaming about that Reuben for a very, very long time.

My absolute favorite restaurant in all of Louisville! The music, the food, everything here make it feel like a small town Irish pub or a tavern straight out of a fantasy novel!

One of the best places to go and hangout on Baxter Ave easily. The food service is quick, very spacious, and has an entire patio seating! The wings were delicious, jumbo, and were cooked perfectly to my liking! I must try their fish and chips or shepherd's pie next time!

Attended the annual Second Stride Fundraiser at Molly Malones. Hadn't been in a few years. A busy, fun night for the thoroughbred industry. Had a cup of the potato leek soup, so delicious, and shared the fish & chips, a very good choice. The two large pieces of fish were hot and crisp, as wells as the fries. The minute amount of slaw, not so much. The one criticism I have is the band. So loud you couldn't have a conversation. A worthy cause. Make plans to attend next year.39

Server was attentive, but we came with my son and placed his food order as soon as we arrived and another person and a child arrived that the bartenders seemed to know after we placed our order for my son, and his child got chicken tenders before my son. We were completely done with our meal by the time my son's food came out. There's a reason we placed his order with our drink order. Food was ok, typical Irish bar food. Wouldn't return.

The quintessential Irish pub - Molly Malone's in the Highlands. I had a scotch egg for the first time here. Their fish and chips looked really good and so did the Reuben and brussels sprouts. The chicken tenders were outstanding!! Molly Malone's is an adorable place to hang out especially, in the velvet chairs by the fire as you can see my girls were enjoying!
