Missy's Pie

We literally live down the street and have driven/walked past this place dozens of times. Today i was on a mission to find a peace offering for my boss who had mentioned how much he loved the black bottom banana pie. Lucky for me they had all the pies available so i got a piece. Hopefully it softens the blow out between my boss and myself if not I'll eat the pie myself (kidding or maybe not).When i arrived there were no other customers so i could take my time and slpbher over the mile high meringue i saw on one of the pies. They also offer a lunch menu which id definitely go back for at another time Where they bake it's an open air space so you can watch them work which i always find fascinating since I'm an avid baker myself. Although these days I'm leaning more towards homemade marshmallow making. Nevertheless the man who i dealt with was nice and accommodating as could be while I checked out the other pies just in case I wanted to grab a treat for myself.

Just give it a try! Last year's chess pie and pecan butter were a hit. Trying pecan this year. Locally owned, small business, a tradition - need more of this type of place! So, go getcha some pie. They also have gift certificates!

Stopped in to check out this small pie shop in Kentucky and so glad we did ! They make homemade pies from scratch .The space is very compact , the counter is right in front of you filled with yummy pies , while behind the counter pies are being prepared .They make pies both for the public and also for several of Ramsey's Diner's located in the area. They even make quiches , pot pies and soups !We purchased a slice of good old fashioned apple and pecan pie to go .Both were outrageously delicious! The pies were not overly sweet , they had plenty of filling and the crust was nice and flaky . Sooooo good !

I learned about Missy's Pies at Ramsay's like most folks. I've tried several of them over the years, and they are all good! Brownie is the family favorite. This year, I was lazy at Thanksgiving, and instead of cooking, I ordered a pie. I called the first week of November to pick up a pie the day before Thanksgiving. I chose a pick-up time and got a confirmation number. On Wednesday, I rolled in and picked up my pie curbside. They had 2 drive thru lanes so you could pick up your pie, pay, and keep on traveling!Pie was great. Pick-up was easy!Pro tip: Pop a piece the brownie pie in the microwave for 20 seconds and add some Greater's Vanilla Bean ice cream drizzle with a bit a chocolate sauce and caramel and you have an elevated treat!

Walking into this little store front you get the sensation that you'll be eating a damn good pie. It's all hustle and bustle, early morning prepping to stock their shelves and store orders. Great selections await you, cream, fruit, brownie, and cheesecakes. I ordered two slices and they happily finished my pie before slicing it. Can't get much fresher than that!!! Black bottom banana cream is a fabulous choice. Everything about it is perfectly balanced! Crust is homemade and can be tasted in every bite. Wish I lived closer so I could enjoy every pie option they serve.

YES! Their food is FUCKING YUMMY. Mmmmmmmm! Like damn! Coconut pie was making me lick my lips! Lady serving me was a total cutie too!

We ordered the sugar free 5 berry pie and it was amazing. Service was easy and great. Highly recommend!

Hello do you have a fresh Butterscotch pie available? Yes we do , I purchased it took it home to serve for after dinner. Pie was tasteless, filing was a paste consistency. I could not serve this pie to anyone. I contacted Missys , information given, offered to return the pie. They said no need our office will reach out to you. It's been a month, that did not happen . Now i know it's about the money and quantity and not about the customer or quality.

Found out about Missy's Pies from Ramsey's Diner. Ordered a slice of strawberry rhubarb and chocolate crème. Both were good and portions were generous. The crust was not delicate or flakey for my taste.Chocolate crème: If hot cocoa and chocolate silk pie had a baby, this would be it, but it was a tad too sweet. The meringue top helped to cut the sweetness of the chocolate crème filling which had a rich chocolate taste reminiscent of hot cocoa. Parts of the crust were soggy. Strawberry rhubarb: Filling was firm, sweetness was just right and there was some tartness from the rhubarb. Crust was average.
