Going on six years since I last reviewed Mile Wide? Well that definitely has to change.I went to Mile Wide tonight to meet some friends for our book club. And I was taken aback by just how great a spot this is for different groups.Large groups coming together.A fun date.Someone solo who wants to work on a laptop for a bit.A family with kids. All of these groups could be found in Mile Wide tonight. And great vibes aside, the beer is also fantastic. Mile Wide makes a wide variety of beers, with its sours being a particular favorite. I've always been impressed by the variety, which doesn't seem to lack quality in favor of quantity. And Mile Wide is a brewery that seems to be having fun with what they do. From the fun signs and the groups around town that they work with -- for example, I just saw how they partnered with the Louisville Free Public Library -- it just seems like such a fun crew.Lastly, it has a great food provider on-site with Mac's. Going to update that review in just a few too. Louisville is lucky to have Mile Wide!

My first visit and I truly enjoyed the experience. Our friend's 50th birthday was hosted here (they offer space) and it provided a casual, relaxed experience for family and friends. Mile Wide offers seating around a large bar, patio, and tables around the building and in between. We even enjoyed the deep couches in front of the big screen. Down one hallway you'll find a few pinball machines, including Jaws which grabbed my little Gen X heart. More than enough beers and variety of flavors to please the masses. I also enjoyed their slushie options and saw several friends with cocktails. I'm an amber beer gal and the Kapowski was in my hand. Food is available through Mac's - and plenty of options. I love when you don't have to leave a brewery because you're hungry. Service was quick and friendly. I've already recommended this spot for a future gathering and I'll be bringing back my family to enjoy the space.Check out their website site or social media for specific details on beer selections and events like trivia or silent disco.

Every time we drive down to Louisville from Indianapolis we like to stop in at Mile Wide. They have great beers and the front area where they have a tent + picnic tables set up is pet friendly. We stopped in on Kentucky Derby day, so there weren't many people inside or outside. Since we had the dogs with us, we sat outside in the front and were greeted with tons of little red bugs all of the tabletops and benches. As soon as I went to wipe them off, they streaked blood everywhere. We always keep wipes with us when we have the dogs to clean up messes, so I wiped everything up and then saw that they were completely covered in dirt as well. It seems like they aren't really sanitizing anything out front and it would be nice if it was treated for pests around that specific area since that's where customers sit. The women's restroom was not clean at all and when I flushed the toilet in my stall I saw it caused water to pour out and leak down the back of it.We ordered 3 beers- Force Ghost IPA, Cathedral Kolsch, + KY Lily Sour Ale. My partner liked his IPA and I thought the Kolsch was a perfect beer to have on a warm day. The "sour" was not sour at all. It was very thin, light, and crisp- refreshing, but not the sour we were wanting to split.

What an amazing place I could you not I had the best chicken wings ever at this place. The flavor was fantastic. The chicken wings were falling off the bone and it was just unreal, I did get the chicken parm one.Their beers were also good, but what threw me into this five stars were certainly the chicken wings

I was planning a gathering of about 20 people and wanted someplace where we didn't have to pay for a separate area and could get separate checks. Mile Wide Beer Co. was able to accommodate whereas another brewery was going to charge me to reserve space. There was ample parking. The place is large and family-friendly. There were several kids running around. They have a selection of drinks beyond beer, including two alcoholic slushies. They also have delicious pizza on-site. Service was fantastic. I have noticed a decline kn service around town post-COVID, but staff here seemed happy to be there and happy to help people. Will definitely return.

They really have a good selection of beer from Lager to Sour to Dark Beer to IPA. I always enjoy their beers. I love their vibe of where I feel comfortable. The beertender is really nice. Also, they have neat pinball games that you could play. They do have nice outdoor area out in front, but they do have a beer garden in the back, which I haven't checked yet. I am not sure if it is still there. However, one of my little problems for this place is that it is not quite wheelchair accessible because it has the stairs when you enter. I am not sure if there is another entrance for me. Let us know. But overall, I always enjoy their beers.

Great food and friendly staff! We came through Louisville on other travel and this was the perfect pit stop. The Bavarian pretzel staved off our hanger and came with an awesome beer cheese. My fiancé got the hot honey pie and ate every last bite. I tried the Americanah on their cauliflower crust and really enjoyed that too. Perhaps most notable was the bar service. I got the bottom of their hazy IPA barrel and the bartender went the extra mile to bring me a fresh brew (without me asking & no charge). If I lived any closer, I'd definitely frequent here! Super spacious.

I am a Louisiana girl with a traveler's heart. I saw this restaurant and had to stop in for a bite. We decided to Dine-In on trivia night at the old grain mill that was converted into a brewery. The vibe was laid back, hipster, bicyclist hobbyist type of brewery. The downtown location was grand with a huge parking lot. The barkeeps suggested some wonderful draft beers. Then quickly served us with a smile. Our server was speedy and funny. We had a great night with friends here. The high quality of fresh ingredients was brilliant. The WINGS were the best dish we tried. They were juicy, tender, and flavorful. I really like it when a pizza parlor shows off that beautiful pizza oven. The pizza oven is a work of art. I truly apricate freshly made authentic crust. Though the crust was over cooked. So, no crust for me. I believe the chef's timing of the crusted was incorrect, what a shameful experience. 2 of the 4 pizzas that were served to my table on trivia night burnt across the bottom and the top. I encourage you to look at my photos.

I'm such a fan of Mile Wide. We came here New Years Eve for the Silent Disco and had a blast. Several bars were set up and all of the interactions I had with staff were friendly and quick. While in the area for dinner, some friends and I stopped in for a drink. Once again, service was quick and friendly. I got one of the sours and we sat at the bar. As we were leaving, we saw a sign for a beer club. $25 for a year of goodies - where do I sign up?! We went back to the bar where the bartender was happy to answer our questions and help us sign up. I'm looking forward to coming back to enjoy the perks of the club!

Atmosphere is average. Looked forward to the pizza, but it was extremely underwhelming. The guy at Macs was very rude and not friendly at all. Would not recommend. If you're looking for a good pie, just go to Blaze or better yet, Noble Funk.
