Merry-Go-Round Restaurant

We were in town for a cheerleading event and always look for places we don't have at home to eat and we stumbled across this gem. It gave old-school diner experience which we loved! The decor is cute and the young one with us loved the horses incorporated in the theme. The staff were extremely friendly and we were greeted immediately upon entering. Our server Mya (sp?) was absolutely top tier - made amazing food recommendations. My sister ordered the breaded catfish (which came with sides - vegetable soup, mashed potatoes, apples), I got the soup and the open faced roast beef with cheese on the bread as recommended and my niece got the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything came out hot and it was all delicious!!! Would highly recommend the vegetable soup! We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Very welcoming from the moment we walked in! Menu is good size and prices are affordable. We ordered the breakfast special for $6 something and within 5 minutes our food was out! This is the kind of place every community needs and I'm jealous we don't have this where I am from!

Stop by here today for a quick late lunch and had the chef salad, which was very good as was the service and price.I would definitely go here again

My grandparents always have a good time going there for years love to take my grandmother there decent prices always been consistent very good food. Great service.

This place was recommended to me by the lady at the front desk of my hotel. The outside of the building isn't much to look at, but the inside is fun and very clean. This is a regulars kind of spot. The food was good a little high in price as my omelet was $7.99 and didn't come with anything else. The omelet was filling good. I also ordered 1 biscuit with sausage gravy for $2.55 and that was a good gravy and the biscuit was cooked to perfection. The coffee was pretty weak. I didn't have anyone check on me after my food arrived. Glad it all came out correctly. They have a good looking lunch and dinner menu as well. I would recommend this place.

Service is great, very attentive waitresses which is rare to find anymore. Food was good and tasteful but a little bit misleading. Since when is a slice of ham a "smoked pork chop "? Do they think people are that stupid to not know the difference?This is the second cafe/restaurant which has pulled this nonsense. Maybe they are afraid people won't order a slice of ham so they call it a smoked pork chop. Also, for those including the cook, these are two totally different cuts of meat. Would I eat here again? Yes but I will ask questions before I place my order.

My husband and I are on a mission to try more local dinners and restaurants. Merry-Ho-Round in Evansville did not disappoint. Delicious home cooking, friendly staff, and great prices.

Great diner. We went for breakfast and the pancakes were light and fluffy. My husband had the normal egg breakfast and everything was great. The staff was on point with the coffee refills. Definitely will be back.

I called to place the order and the lady answered said they close yet I have 45 minutes before they close the restaurant and she just hang the phone on my face. What a terrible first impression
