Merridian Home Furnishings

With its move near the Plainview neighborhood, this was our first visit to Merridian. Friends had long recommended the store to us, but the former location was nestled between stores and not obviously visible. Out of sight, out of mind! We were greeted right away by Sharon, who we let know that we didn't have anything in mind, "just looking". She was very polite in giving us space, checking in a couple of times to make sure we didn't have questions on things. The check-out counter is located in the middle of the store and it makes it easy to find sales reps as well.Merridian has beautiful items - some modern, some classic and things for every room in your house, plus accessories. Several things caught my eye but the prices are higher than my spending comfort level. Having two younger boys and pets, I am well aware that a $1,000 ottoman is as likely to get damaged as the $100 option. And, for some areas of my home, I'm not ready to commit to larger pieces. I enjoy having a cheaper "test" piece to make sure we use it and then making a larger investment in the future.Much luck to Merridian in their new location!

Merridan Home Furnishings is a nice furniture and accessory store in Saint Mathews. I've bought a few accessories and small pieces here over the years and I really like their selection. Their furniture and accessories are casual and contemporary with a bit of a modern rustic look. The quality is high and the price is in line with that quality, as they are not cheap. They do have a clearance room with some good prices, but not drastic deals. The staff is mostly friendly and since they work as a team instead of commission, they don't pressure or bother you. Bonus! Worth a stop if you're furniture shopping. Located by the Mall St. Mathews by the cinemas.

I made an appointment fora in-home design consult. Had to ask when the designer would get back with her proposals and was told a couple of weeks. Since I was given a couple of week window, and was told the store in Nashville had some one of a kind pieces I might be interested in, I went to Nashville, a 6 hour round trip and a hotel stay. Three weeks from the initial consult, I received a call asking for arm and pillow covers. REALLY?!?!! Needless to say I went to Cherry House inLagrange, KY where I got very personalized and timely services, with free delivery and great prices. BTW, I did pay the Merridian design consultant for her time although she failed to deliver. Yes, Merry Dian did cash my check, so I was out $379 for nothing!!!!!

Merridian offers amazing selections for furniture and accessories! I moved to Nashville and "happened" upon this wonderful store! Pearl Nichols helped me in the store and she came to my home and had been an ongoing resource for ideas and further home design. I can't say enough about Merridian or Pearl! Thank you!!!!

I've worked with Elizabeth a couple times trying to decide on dining room pieces. I want to be clear that my rating for Elizabeth is 5 stars. I stopped in today to order the pieces and decide on an accent chair and, after a few minutes was greeted by Merry (appeared to be her from the website pics). She was rude and apparently her floor move was more important. The 1 Star is for Merry. There's a lot of retail options and Merridian will no longer be an option for me.
