Meles Diner

The food was outstanding. The general vibe is "converted fast food restaurant" but comfortable. The service was fast but our server seemed to simply not like people. I had the meatloaf with broccoli and asparagus. My husband had the Roast Beef Manhattan (open sandwich) with coleslaw and broccoli. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We'd go back.

This place is a absolute must for visitors and residents alike. The service is top notch, the ambiance is so very quaint even when there is several tables full it's never loud and always a calm ladies back setting. The food OMG where to start with the food. Everything we have tried here so far has been phenomenal and you best be hungry or have the ability to put some groceries away. The portions has always been above and beyond. One of the best coffees I've n town! Once again a must visit.

Great food and great atmosphere, our waiter did it all... took our order, proceeded to prepare it, served drinks took 2 other orders and prepared THEM! PLUS, the food was awesome ! 5* here.

Breakfast is served all day! Their fresh, homemade chips and dip, pork chilaquiles and chorizo skillet are among my favorite foods they make. They are speedy and so friendly! Give this small business your money!

I'm new in Evansville, It was ok, ordered the corn beef hash, it was a bit dry and lacking. Service was acceptable, don't think I'll return, they need to up their food presentation game

This was me and my husbands first time eating here. It was very intriguing how they turned the old Wendys into a diner. We loved the decor inside inside the restaurant. We will be coming back.

We had been to Meles Diner once for a private function, and decided to try it out on our own one night. There were several items shown on the menu on the wall, but everything we wanted to order was no longer being offered. The waiter seemed to be annoyed when we asked for something that they were no longer serving. All three of us "settled" on something that wasn't our first choice. The food portions were generous, but our steaks were not cooked to our requests (rare, medium rare, well done). My steak tasted a bit old. My friend got sick after her dinner, although, to be fair, we don't know for sure if it was caused by the meal. All three of us were very disappointed, and decided we would not be coming back for dinner. Maybe we'll try out their breakfast sometime, since our friends have raved about them.

My friends and I were in disbelief over the service we witnessed at the diner by meles off of green river road... My friends and I were trying to enjoy a nice meal. We had witnessed an older gentleman who was also a U.S Veteran sitting diagonal from us. This gentleman was disabled and had a walker. My friends and I had offered to pay for the gentleman's meal as we saw him trying to gather enough change to pay for both his meal and a tip. My friend went up to the manager and told them we would pay for it. The manager got bent out of shape over us wanting to pay for him. He said he had to pay for it and that he had to give tips for everyone. My friends and I had witness him give tips to everybody in the building. I then go to the restroom and come back and the guy was trying to get to his vehicle. I offered my assistance to the gentleman to try to walk him to his car and he was thankful for my friends to assist him but declined and said he was fine. The lack of humanity, the lack of respect, and lack of generosity I witnessed from this place was unbelievable! This will be the last time I go there! To the gentleman I spoke to today thank you for your service! The freedom and opportunities you have given to our country is incredible in itself!
