McCauly's Pub

My wife and I dropped into McCauly's Pub on a Thursday evening. First impressions? The place could use an update. It's got that unmistakable '70s pub vibe--wood paneling, dim lighting, the works. But it was clean, and something about it felt comfortable, like a spot that's been around long enough to know what it does well.Service was... efficient. Our server was abrupt but not rude--just straight to the point, no wasted words. To be completely fair, they could have used a couple more, but this gal knew her way around the room, and seemed to enjoy the challenge of handling a dinner rush on her own. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and split the antipasto, pairing it with a beer and a glass of wine. The beer? Just about perfect. The wine? Not so much--tasted like it had been sitting open a bit too long, so we'll knock a few points there.Now, the pizza. Fantastic. The kind of pizza you picture when someone says "village pizza." Crisp crust, great cheese-to-sauce ratio, and exactly the right amount of grease to know you're in for something good. If nothing else, that pizza alone makes McCauly's worth the trip.The antipasto was solid. Nothing mind-blowing, but they didn't skimp on the meats and cheeses, which is a win in my book. Drinks were refilled promptly, and service stayed on top of things.Bottom line: If you're looking for modern charm, this isn't your place. But if you want a laid-back pub with excellent pizza and cold beer, McCauly's delivers.

Casual spot for food , and not bad service . My word of advice , the "fried chicken" be taken off the menu . ONE piece of a boneless chicken tender that's BLAND and is not worth the money is not something to advertise as even a lunch "special" as it was advertised . They even failed to mention "boneless." Didn't go making a fuss since we as a group had to run, but again DONT ORDER THE "FRIED CHICKEN" you may be disappointed.

Not really impressed. The bar was out of Crown Royal. Fellow patrons said they had been for days. Couldn't they have went to a liquor store and picked up a couple bottles? Bar was dirty. Poorly lit. I was told they are known for their pizza but I didn't have any food. They have one pool table and few dart boards. The only good thing about the place is that Stagger Lee was playing. This is mostly just a local hole. Won't be back. Even if in the area. Rather go to James third base or others.

I havent been here in awhile but everytime I have been here there food is always above average bar food. The drinks were always cold. The service was always pleasant and the prices were right.They also have pool table and darts so it's a good place to grab some drinks, friends, and hangout. Plenty of parking even though it looks as if they dont.Will go back soon.

It's a bar with pretty good food. It was an old hole in the wall. Dirty with broken furniture. They have a juke box, keno and a ton off tv's for sport watching. There's tons of floor space. You can dance if you want to. A couple of people were. They have draft beer and bottles. I'm pretty sure there's a full bar. The bar is located right in the middle of the floor. There are a bunch of food choices. The drinks were a little expensive especially for a Thursday night. There were no specials. Isn't Thursday ladies night anymore? Im pretty sure that's a neighborhood meeting spot. Not many people had food items, only drinks.

The pizza I ordered was microwaved and the fish was unimpressive. Music was better than the food.

Food; good. Ambience; typical. Service: Poor. Regular intermittent customer. Bad experience. Wife and I stumbled upon a band we really like. 09/17/2024. Waitress cleaned off our table before we were done! While Dancing! I had wanted to stay, almost walked out without paying. Tacky. (Upset). Do not punish responsible drinkers - we watch our liquor intake! I am only 75, can't drink like I uses to. (But we can drink up the street). Please don't be pushy this way. W H S. Bar tenders are the tops... The lunch specials will amaze you .. the portions for the price nowhere better. Their pizza is to die for. They pizza sauce never gives me that reflux or .

I really like McCauley's. It's a relaxing place to go. Have a drink listen to a band if they have one. Their pizzas are good. They're Philly cheesesteak is good. But I would recommend it. It's safe and quiet usually. Darts. You can watch the games there on several big TVs. I like the pub.
