Took this back in 2004? I also have some pictures I've taken as far back as 1980's. Mushrooms went up one dollar between prices

Stopped on our way to tour Indiana Bloomington campus. First, service was impeccable!! Seriously, haven't had so much nice friendly service post-Covid era. Wish I had gotten our carhops name...she saw us drive up, walked over, chatted with us, made suggestions on what's good (when we asked-word to the wise, skip the Cole slaw and iced tea-iykyk) plus, why wouldn't you order the root beer anyways? It's what they're named after, after all....But I digress..Food was what you'd expect. Good enough to fill us up for a late morning snack or for a quick lunch. Root beer was super yummy! We'd come back if we lived around the area. Prices were reasonable and again, service was awesome!!

If you're the owner - please have more of a social media presence and let people that are driving 1+ hours to patronize your establishment know that you're closing 4+ hours early. This is the second time we've called to verify you're open only to find out you've closed early after driving a great distance. We will have a difficult time planning a trip down there in the future because of these disappointing experiences. We used to go several times a year.

A great example of a drive-in restaurant still just as popular as it ever was.I had the Town Topper which was excellent. The fried mushrooms were good but the ranch comes prepackaged rather than fresh.The root beer float was excellent. That's worth the stop if it is all you get. I wish there was an even larger size!Some drive-ins are slow in the kitchen. Not here. I was in and out in a matter of minutes.

Old school charm, pull in friendly car hop takes your order. Menu on the roof, coney dogs come with a tasty sauce in regular or footlong. I prefer mustard and onions on mine.... very tasty and perfect to grab and go with a cold root beer and a fresh lemonade. French fries were iffy. Established in 1951, absolutely love local spots. Joint was jumping.

Root beer was decent, got a large cony dog and was pretty soggy and had minimal flavor. Looked like a pretty good spot, service was helpful just the food was subpar.
