The owners, Carol and Steve, were very welcoming and gracious hosts. The rooms were immaculate--ours and our friends--and the breakfast was amazing! We also enjoyed spending the evening on the rooftop watching the lightning show in the sky. Wish we had time to spend another night or two there--we'll definitely visit again.

We chose Market Street Inn for our 27th anniversary stay. It was absolutely wonderful! The host and hostess Carol and Steve were wonderful and very accommodating. I forgot my toothbrush and they had an extra one ready and with toothpaste! Breakfast was an omlette with homemade banana bread and homemade scones that they said took 3 years to get the recipe right! The coffee was delicious and the dining area was very quaint with different antique cups and saucers. We stayed in the Ocean breeze room, the bed was comfortable and the room was beautiful. If you are e looking for a place to stay, this is an excellent choice!

I'm not a bed-and-breakfast kind of guy, but we received a gift certificate and chose this B&B for a weekend getaway. It was a very nice facility, super-friendly owners and the breakfast was great. The location is wonderful, and we spent the evening drinking a bottle of wine on the front porch and reading. If you like B&B's I bet you'd love this place.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast right across the river in Jeffersonville. Our room was absolutely the best! It was large, beautiful and comfortable. We had a king bed, jacuzzi tub & shower, couch and large flat screen TV which we didn't use due to the other relaxing options like reading and talking. Each room has a fireplace-heater that keeps the room COZY! The owners refurbished this house by themselves and did a spot-on job of it! I felt like a queen and was actually able to sleep which is a HUGE compliment to the Inn! (Usually not the best sleeper out of my own bed which is sad because I love to get away and be pampered.) The breakfast was two fat pieces of bacon, a yummy quiche slice and fluffy biscuit with various jams and butter. They also had mini raspberry scones, fresh fruit, juices and good coffee. SPACTULAR ALL AROUND!Best night out stay ever! Highly recommend!

We took a long weekend over the 4th of July for a 3-night stay here due to a nearby wedding in New Albany. I don't think we would have ever visited otherwise- and what a shame if we had not! The pictures of the B&B on their website and online do NOT do this place justice. You don't really get a good sense of the sweeping vaulted ceilings, the warm wood touches, the beauty of the old brick and antiques mixed with newer renovations that give this place a homey luxe elegance (I didn't know that was even possible?!). We stayed in the Renaissance Suite and were absolutely spoiled by the size of the space (taking up a good part of the 3rd floor!). The bathroom was incredibly generous and contains a very nice 2-person tub with jets. The breakfast is delightful- I rarely enjoy baked gluten-y goods, but when I do- this is the kind of place to splurge (the cranberry almond scones and german pancakes were scrumptious!). It's also within an easy block or so walking distance to many local restaurants along the river. The walking bridge is within visible sight and on the end of the block from the Inn. We didn't meet Carol (she was out of the country) but her husband Steve was incredibly warm and helpful and I can only imagine they play a huge part in creating the atmosphere of the Inn. (Shouldn't all Innkeepers be as endearing?)Definitely worth a stay if you're anywhere in the Louisville area!

I surprised my fiance with an overnight stay for his birthday. I had packed a bag (unbeknownst to him) and put him in the car and told him not to make any plans until the next afternoon. We got a bit lost (my GPS wasn't playing nice with me) and he got really nervous... for absolutely no reason! The owners are lovely, friendly, unobtrusive people. There is a communal fridge on each floor, equipped with tape and a sharpie for labelling food (we had some leftovers from dinner and a bottle of white wine to chill) - extremely convenient! I also loved having coffee and a wetbar in our room. Breakfast was delightful. We've rarely felt so pampered. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience! The best part? The value!!! Much less expensive than its Louisville counterparts! AND we got to explore a bit of Southern Indiana!

Best B&B we've been too. The innkeepers are wonderful, hospitable folks. We felt at ease and at home. Most importantly, we were made to feel that they wanted us to come back. The breakfast was great, staff and service very attentive and prompt. We had waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, poppy seed bread, lemon bread, cranberry juice, orange juice and coffee. The interior is amazing, great restoration work, interesting history. This place is a must see.

My husband and I stayed at the Market Street Inn on our way back from Nashville to Chicago. We planned a little stop over in Louisville and decided to find a B&B to stay in. We fell in love with this place the instant we pulled up. It is exactly what you would picture a quaint southern inn to look like! The rooms were big and clean and had as much charm as any place can have. We had breakfast early and were able to chat with the owners, they are two of the sweetest people we've met, and they make a mean breakfast casserole!I'm hoping we can make it back for a visit soon and would definitely recommend this place to others spending any amount of time in Louisville.

We stayed at the B&B in July. Room was ok ( bed very firm), but the exterior was needing much attention. Looked like it hadn't been touched in months with overgrown weeds and webs. Also, the owners forgot about the second "B"- breakfast. The website advertised a wonderful selection, but the first morning it was day old pastries, juice, coffee, and fruit. No eggs, meat or other yummy stuff as advertised. The second morning it was a choice of frittata or pancakes. Still nothing close to the description. We could not order simple eggs. Oh well... such a let down. At a minimum, update the website to reflect what you really serve.
