Marcella's And The After Hours Cafe

This little restaurant has so much good food, we came back twice! And they are open later, when the towns asleep. The roasted chicken panini and a Michigan dog is what I tried, and they were not only delicious but came with really tasty trimmings. They've got all drinks you can taste as well, local brew and bourbon, and wine. The owner is a real nice and courteous guy too!

Our experience here and review its on the desserts ONLY-We stopped by for a late dessert after dinner and we were happy we did! Both desserts were fresh and delicious. We also ordered 2 cups of coffee -these weren't the best. It wouldn't hurt to invest in machine to make a better coffee. (Maybe a Keurig machine and have available flavor coffee) We hope next time we get to try their food and drinks! It's nice to have a place that closes late in downtown Bardstown. Service was promptly.

I've been here four times and think this place is decent for a late night cafe. The main dishes are good, but really small portions. I have tried all of the pasta salad side dishes, and they are really bland and very small portions. It's kind of expensive for what you get. They recently got their alcohol license, so that's a nice addition.I do feel bad for this place, because the horse carriage tour business next-door means you have to walk by an overwhelming knock you to the floor, smell of horse urine to get in the front door. Not sure there's anything the owners can do about that, but be aware you might want to hold your breath going in.

Loved this place!! Staff was so kind and friendly! Couldn't decide on which burger to try so the BF and I split 2 different ones and both were incredible! Again had trouble deciding on which dessert, went with the tiramisu, but they still gave us a small piece of the other cake we were deciding between! We left so full of good food wow

If you're visiting town, or a resident, you have GOT to try this place! Have been several times and everything has been amazing! Food is made fresh when you order it. Some of my favorites so far are the BBQ nachos, and the smokehouse burger! Portion sizes are perfect! Perfect stop for tourists, and a quick bite to eat all hours of the day and late night

My fiance and I came here on a whim wanting to try something new and we're SO glad we did. this place is so yummy and deserves more recognition! the food was absolutely incredible and they have a really surprising beer selection also. i would recommend anyone and everyone try them out. definitely a 10/10. my fiance has the smokehouse burger with no onion and the cheese fries with no onion and i had the chicken tenders with cheese fries!

I ordered the slaw dog and smoked greens. OMG So good I'm still thinking about it the next day!! my husband ordered the signature club sandwich and couldn't finish the whole thing, but we enjoyed it the next day and it was still 'over the top' delicious. Wish we lived closer but the next time we're remotely close we are going back to Marcella's!!!!

We arrived late to town on the first day of our visit and were delightfully surprised that there was a restaurant opened late. The food and service were excellent. We'll have to go back for sure.

Very friendly staff & good bar food. Had the spicy chicken sandwich & the Portuguese soup which was very good. Husband had the burger which he really enjoyed. Thank you!

Stopped for a late night bite at this awesome quaint restaurant and was so pleased with our experience. I had the Bardstown Bambino, the bread and flavor were excellent. And the fries!!!!! 10/10, perfect crunch and seasoning. Wow. My friend had the pesto chicken panini, I had a bite also great. Would definitely recommend the pasta salad as well. Had so many choices to choose from!
