Main Street Diner

This was a delightful discovery. We were camping nearby, and I found this while hankering for a local breakfast spot. I must say that the charm of this downtown mains street plays a larger than expected role. Rising Sun Indiana takes care to maintain a lovely main street and as you approach this diner, you can look straight down to the river front pavilion welcoming your line of sight. Once inside, you find small town diner loaded with character from the wall decor to the tables and chairs. The service is fast, friendly, and the food is especially delicious, well-seasoned, and with a surprisingly large selection of breads and jellies/jams. They are pet friendly and the second time I came in, there was a couple from Washington hoping to get a selfie with the owner's dog so they must have a bit of a social media buzz going too. I recommend both Rising Sun and it's Main Street Diner if you get a chance to be passing through this area. The Rising Star Casino RV Park is a nice clean place to stay too if you happen to be pulling your house around with you like we do.

Great food in a nice location with an old time relaxing vibe. Skip the hash browns though, they are an oily mess. Overall value is excellent.

Amazing breakfast! Sandy and crew make wonderful biscuits and gravy! Make sure you order the biscuits and gravy!

Cute home style diner in downtown Rising Sun. It's very small but they have outdoor dining available during warm weather. The sandwiches we got were very good. The place is like stepping into your gramma's house - cozy and homey.

Very quaint eclectic diner in Rising Sun - keeping it simple!Ask for sidewalk chalk if sitting outside with kids.

Breakfast of eggs hash browns and bacon. All was good. Toast and delicious jellies, so many to choose from Ladies were very nice and efficient Coffee was plentiful also. Kept our cups full.

Awesome diner with great oatmeal and pancakes. Nice owner. Great staff. We enjoyed the mismatched decor. Very unique.

We went there and will never go back. The spinach omelet looked like road kill and was burnt. Charged for water and 4 bucks for 15 french fries. Sad diner experience

Had breakfast there on New Year's Day 2024. Food was awesome and the staff was as friendly as could be.
