Lussi Brown Coffee Bar

I have a new favorite Lexington coffee shop.Inclusive atmosphere. Delicious drinks AND food. Multiple nooks for cozy sitting. Good serviThat is my idea of fitting all the ideal coffee shop criteria. I had the seasonal fall drink Mayan Mocha & found it divine! I can honestly say the only downsides were parking, and I think I discovered I like my waffles with syrup.

I actually made it this year for coffee week. While I didn't indulge in their featured coffee I did have a maple iced latte and it didn't disappoint. I've been here a few times now with friends and the coffee is always good. The people that work there are always friendly and accommodating. When we went on Sunday morning there was a slight line but it moved quickly. We did sit outside because the weather was so nice. At one point people were standing outside waiting on line but again they managed to move the line quickly. You can bring your own tumbler if you want all they ask in return is that you allow them to put their coffee sleeve on it. I've never sat inside so I can't tell you what it looks like but I have used the rest room which was clean and even had an assortment of condoms in a basket along with tampons if you need them.

This is such a cool space and concept. I loved the gallery of queer icons and the information about other LGBTQIA+ spaces in Lexington. There's not a lot of room to linger but what there is is very cozy. I'm guessing based on the location, though, that most folks grab their drink to go and hang out around downtown because the line to order was long but we had no problem snagging a table. The variety of drinks was a lot of fun, and I also think it would be cool to come back in the evening for a cocktail option. The egg nog latte I had was pretty good. This is absolutely a business I would support any time I visit town based on the ethos and the service.

Stopped by on Sunday, 11/3/24, at 10:40 am. It took 20 minutes to order and get our coffee. I got the Mayan Mocha and it was good! Love that this coffee shop is LGBTQ+-owned! Cool art!

Love love this place, it is a smaller venue but they have the best coffee & coffee/tea cocktails around. They always have a seasonal menu, my favorite would have to be the stupid cupid ice coffee.

I am a HUGE fan of Lussi Brown Coffee Bar and highly recommend if you are looking for an amazing beverage! I live in Chicago but make sure to make a stop at Lussi Brown every time I come to Lexington because I simply love it THAT much. The staff is always welcoming and kind and the drinks are always fantastic as well! This morning, I had the pleasure of going to Lussi Brown again and I ordered the Thai Iced Coffee and WOW was it great. It was extremely tasty and honestly everything I was looking for and more in my morning iced coffee. My friend ordered the Watermelon Tea and I honestly wish I would have gotten two drinks because I loved it too! You truly cannot go wrong with anything from Lussi Brown and I already cannot wait until the next time I can go back. Thank you, Lussi Brown for a fabulous experience as always!

She's small but mighty! I was very impressed with this place, from the drinks to the service. I can't remember what my drink was called but it was some sort of grasshopper mocha seasonal drink and it was 10/10. We didn't venture too far into the seating area but it looked like a few tables for some quiet work spaces. Parking was also readily available on nearby streets. Cool spot!

Chill vibes, friendly people, delicious coffee. What more could you want? I came here because I found it on a list of places that displayed local art and loved the atmosphere they created.I got the nitro cold brew with coconut milk, and it was a nice, cool treat to kickstart my day. Also, alternative milks don't cost extra so you can customize away! I do wish they had more seating for hanging out because it felt a little geared towards study and work space, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I meant to write a review for this coffee shop, but here it goes. This shop is located in a corner in downtown Lexington. If you don't know what you're looking for, you might have easily missed this shop as it is inconspicuous. Once you enter the shop, do not let it fool you. This coffee shop/bar serves a fantastic cocktail selection and strong-tasting coffees. There is more setting in the back of the shop, where you must be at least 21 to go in after 12 p.m. I sat in the back after ordering my coffee and then cocktail to do some school work and enjoy the lounge. It is quiet and cozy enough to do your job or relax with a friend or two to chat. I would say this place is one of the most unique places I've been to here in Lexington, and I highly recommend it to those coffeeholic who also love their cocktail drinks.

I read through my work, that this was a good coffee spot. I walked over from my hotel and figured I'm in bourbon country so I'd try the smoked bourbon caramel latte. My God! Had to be one of the best coffees I've had. Not only was the coffee smooth but the young lady that made it, made it to perfection! I walked back to my hotel and was sad because I finished it. The service was excellent. I didn't try any food as I was getting ready to go to a concert and just really wanted the coffee. She told me they ship their coffee and I might be taking them up on it. The shop is small and can't hold a lot of people at once but it's rustic and cozy. If I ever land in Lexington again, I'm definitely going back. Thank you!!!
