Went here twice in two days while staying at the hotel. The food? Absolutely amazing! The first night we had the Shrimp Cocktail and not a bite was left. I had the Drunken Seabass and it was one of the best dishes ever. The skin was perfectly crispy, and added so many layers! My mom had the scallop salad or whatever it was called, and said the scallops were better than our experience at Hells Kitchen. My boyfriend and I destroyed the lobster Mac and cheese, it was so good! One complaint: the service was super friendly and understanding. However, it took over an hour to get our food. It was awful having to wait, and it happened to a lot of people around us as well. The second night I went in on my own. The crab Rangoon dip came super quick and was amazing. Will definitely be back to order! I had a difference waitress but she was just as nice! The ambiance is really laid back. I love the inside, it's beautiful. But I prefer to sit outside. I'll definitely have to stop by to try lunch or brunch someday. 10/10 recommend, good was worth the wait! I usually would give 4 stars for the service being so slow, but the friendliness and food saved it. Not to mention the happy hour prices for drinks!

We had reservations for 5 PM, got there early, we finally got seated, waited 10 minutes and no one even brought us water. We decided to get up and leave.It appears that they did not have a lot of customers, and had plenty of staff. Most of them would walk by us and they ignored us.With the price of their food and drinks, I would expect to get treated much much better than that. And I'm sure that they would want a pretty good tip.Fortunately, they did not get any of our money.Good luck I hope you have a better experience than we did.

We stopped in here late on a Thursday evening because we had just checked in to the nearby hotel and were hungry. Our waiter was fabulous, very upbeat and attentive. We shared 3 small plates and all of it was good. We had the Scallop Salad, Thai Shrimp, and the Crab Cakes. I also ordered a half dozen of the East Coast Oysters and they were good - my only ask is that they would include a Mignonette with it, otherwise it was perfection. It has a nice, intimate vibe. Their bar looked like it had a good selection. I would come back to try more plates.

A Casual Seafood Restaurant with a River View !!I stopped into Lure during a visit to the riverfront area while in Owensboro. I was craving seafood and decided to give it a try. Lure is a restaurant in the Hilton Hotel serving Fish, Oysters, Pasta, Seafood and a few cuts of meat. The restaurant has a great ambience inside and a few seats available outside for dining. On this visit, I had some fresh and plump oysters followed by the Snow Crab and Lemon Ricotta Ravioli as I was in the mood for pasta. The ravioli was not too drenched in the past sauce and although a little light on the crab meat, they were able to pull off a very good pasta dish. Overall a great meal, a little on the pricy side due to it being a hotel restaurant and right on the river downtown but the food was fresh and made very well.

Great atmosphere but overpriced for what it is. I met a friend there on Saturday night and we ordered three shareable. We ordered the smoked trout that was served with saltine crackers, for the price I expected something a little more elevated than dry saltines, heck even club crackers would have been better. The sweet potato fries were so soggy with the butter sauce that we sent them back. Our server was fantastic and we were seated quickly but the entire menu needs to be tweaked in order to be worth the price.

Sometimes bad service and food needs to be called out. There was a party going on inside so it was loud. We decided to sit outside. A few larger tables were seated out there. As soon as we sat down the hostess came out and said that table is reserved for later. That's fine except no one showed up ever! She was loving her authority. Our server had 0 personality, it was inconvenient for him to come up to our table. With things not off to a great beginning we decided just to get an appetizer, Thai shrimp. It was frozen shrimp with a sauce sprinkled on it. Absolutely nothing worth the price it was. We will not go back.

Old fashion was extremely good, you gotta try it!! Had the ribeye, bartender recommended- over spinach salad, OMG!! Great flavor! Love the atmosphere, conversation and drinks/food, quite frankly the ONLY reason I stay at the Hampton Inn when in Owensboro- Lure!!

All I'll say is to be sure you check that the food you get matches the description on the menu. They do have a great beer selection.

We were seated next to a large loud group of people who didn't care about others around them so we couldn't hear each other talk. The manager didn't check on our area so we were not able to suggest that they move us to another area. Our server did not check on us very often and we had to ask for water each time we needed some. The food was ok but definitely not of the caliber of a restaurant that charges as much as they do. We won't be eating there again.
