STING LIKE A BEE PIZZA. It is a MUST order. The hot honey is NOT hot - this is something EVERYONE at your table will love!! Lupo is one of the best pizza joints in Louisville and it is not up for debate. If I could eat here every single night I would. The service is chatty, fun and fantastic. Outdoor you can enjoy tucked away tables and inside you're surrounded in the most delicious scents and artwork. Pizza Lupo is one to beat. They are phenomenal.

Great little place- not a ton of tables and we got the impression that reservations are recommended.Called 10 min prior to arrival to see what the approximate wait time/pizza prep time was and were told "we can fit you in" and that the kitchen was getting the pizzas out in "about 10 min" - perfect for us because we didn't have a lot of time.We were seated promptly and our order was taken. Ordered the Sting Like a Bee speciality pizza at approximately 6:16pm figuring with the 10 min pizza time and the fact that the restaurant was only about 1/4 full we would be on time for our event. WRONG. By 7pm and after numerous other tables that arrived after us had received their food (even some appetizers AND main courses), I inquired quietly and politely to our waiter when our pizza would be ready. His response was that they were short in the kitchen and running behind????? What?? He then came back over and offered us 20% off of our bill for the delay.... By now we were already late for our engagement so we literally had to inhale our pizza and got a to go box for most of it. So very disappointing. The pizza was tasty, but given the fact that we couldn't really enjoy it or savor the wonderful flavors made it worse. Very disappointed in this place since it has such good reviews :( Not sure that I would come here again even with reservations. Establishments that aren't respectful of your time and hard earned money, don't get gold stars in my book. Especially for a $30 pizza

Came here Friday night for dinner. Had reservations and got seated immediately. The parking situation is not great but at least there were some reserved parking spots for the restaurant! The inside was cozy and dimly lit. We ordered the Caesar salad and sting like a bee pizza. Neither my husband nor myself cared for the salad, at all. We ate 2 bites each and had the waitress take it away. She didn't ask if we didn't like it or if anything was wrong with it but we aren't ones to really complain so we let it be. The PIZZA on the other hand was AMAZING. We loved the sweetness of the honey with the pinch of spicy. We will definitely be coming back for this pizza!! Our favorite in Louisville so far!

We came to this place based on local recommendations from our Bourbon trip to Louisville KY, the place is in a old building felt very cozy and small however the place was quite busy. We made reservations which I highly recommend since it seems very popular among locals. Waitress came to take our orders for drinks first we just had sodas however the place serves cocktails which looked amazing. Then she came to take our order. Pizzas are WOOD-FIRED NEAPOLITAN STYLE PIZZA the Margherita which is made with milled organic san marzano tomatoes, choice of fresh or aged mozzarella, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, parmigiano reggiano and the Sting Like a BeeDetroit style pepperoni cups, made with milled organic san marzano tomatoes, house hot honey, choice of fresh or aged mozzarella, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, parmigiano reggiano. Both were beyond delicious, felt like I was actually having a pizza from Italy. Crust was soft and toasty on the ends. Sauce was light. Service was fast and waitress was helpful making sure we had all utensils and napkins and sauces we had also asked for. Overall highly recommend when you are visiting Louisville.

I visited Pizza Lupo for the first time on my birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. We made a reservation online through Resy, and I'm glad we did--it was surprisingly busy for a Monday night! I started with the Chinotto Old Fashioned. Though I was initially hesitant, it turned out to be a refreshing twist on the classic cocktail--highly recommend giving it a try. For the main course, we couldn't pass up their wood-fired sourdough pizza. We went with the classic Margherita, and it was excellent--perfectly balanced flavors and a delightful crust. To finish, we split some hazelnut gelato, which was the perfect end-of-meal treat--light, creamy, and delicious. The space itself is beautiful and quaint, with a cozy atmosphere. Parking is limited with a small lot, but the friendly staff and inviting environment make it worth the visit. Overall, a fantastic spot for a special night out!

We made a last minute reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. The building is small, and the atmosphere is pretty intimate. We ordered the meatballs for an appetizer that came with a wood fired round of sourdough that was covered with olive oil and parmesan. The meatballs weren't impressive, very dense and not that flavorful, there wasn't enough marinara in the dish. The sourdough flat bread was amazing though. The Sting Like a Bee pizza was incredible. The heat in the pizza really comes from the pepperoni, not the hot honey. The honey adds this nice sweetness to the pizza. My only negative for the pizza was that the crust beneath the toppings was really limp and made it more of a fork and knife pizza. The star of the meal was the chocolate budino. It's a rich chocolate pudding with a caramelized sugar top, definitely not for the casual chocolate eater. Our waiter was great, very attentive and made good recommendations.

The pizza was delicious! While it may open at a later time and could be hard to get in, it is well worth the wait. The service is top notch and the staff is so nice. Went to eat with my friends and there was 8 of us with our kids. It was fast service and the food didn't take long to get served. We had the fungi pizza, pepperoni and honey. Also had dessert. Stone oven cooked and it was delicious, your taste buds will thank me when you visit. Only small draw back was the parking. But tight parking lot and street parking available. If someone didn't tell me about it, we would not have known. My friend had the anchovy pizza. For desserts gelato.

The BEST pizza in Louisville! The sauce is quite magical. Whether it be on my pizza or in my pasta, it's a party in my mouth. My favorite za is the Margherita DOP which is topped with buffalo milk mozzarella. They tend to run out of this some nights. The pasta is hand made and is also always a banger, albeit a bit expensive. Any of their drinks with chinotto syrup are divine. Get yourself a side of toum for the pizza and you can thank me later.

Food was good, service was super slow. First patron in at 5pm, however pizza took over 40 minutes... no communication from staff. Ordered 2nd pizza before first pizza arrived, still took 40 minutes. Restaurant was empty. They apologized afterwards stating they had so many Togo orders. Wouldn't bothered with a review, however they originally want to deny entry due to a service dog. Server was no where to be seen the whole time. Not the first place I'd go for pizza again, purely because of poor service. The staff seemed too woke for broke.
