Louie's Hot Chicken & Barbecue

The food was great and the service was nice. He let me know recommended sauce. The portion size was on the larger side. Next time I think the strip combo is the move. Flavor was excellent not just some bland battered tender.

You know, I read the reviews and I figured it was worth a shot. It wasn't. The fries were dropped at the right temp but the oil was low quality or rancid. The fries were way off flavor wise due to the oil. They left a horrible taste in my mouth and that was disappointing because the texture and seasoning on the fries was excellent. Clean oil or a better quality (probably both) would go a long way to improving the whole experience. The mac and cheese was terrifying. It was a flavorless gelatinous mass that, even though I'm a full on hog, was completely inedible. Everyone gets a pass on that because it's a filler side and was probably hanging out in a steam pan all day. The chicken was, like the fries, expertly cooked with the perfect juicy interior. The medium that I got was, as the rest, the downfall. It was dusty. Again, lack of quality in the seasoning killed this. The age of the spices negated any boom pow that they were reaching towards. I could be wrong, maybe a muddy flavor profile that is reminiscent of sawdust was the goal. Like maybe it's like a dry rub. I could be wrong. Three stars because the execution was excellent but the ingredients were just not up to the skill brought by the kitchen. If they could get the oil right they would be the best chicken in town. The technique was that good.

I popped in here to grab a meal to go. The hot chicken tenders were HUGE! They tasted great. I got Medium spice but it still had a nice subtle heat. I enjoyed the potato salad. The Mac and cheese was pretty dry and room temperature, which is what kept me from giving it 5 stars. The seating area is super limited, so I'm sure most people get their food to go. They seem to run a lot of catering options too.Overall: Great quick, hearty meal.

This restaurant popped up on my IG feed and wanted to try it out. I pass it up all the time and didn't realize it was there. Small place on the corner next to the ballpark. Parking right outside the restaurant. Limited seating inside but there is more outdoor seating. I got the small white meal that came with a breast and a wing and two sides. I thought the prices were pretty decent. The white meat was cooked to order so very fresh. I got the chicken with medium heat. Kind of reminds me of Royals Hot Chicken flavoring. Very tasty. I got green beans and Mac and cheese. The green beans were seasoned pretty well. A tad salty but not too bad. The Mac and cheese didn't have much flavor to me. It looked very cheesy but didn't taste like it. Also got an order of smoked wings. My son said they tasted a bit burnt to him. He just dipped them in bbq sauce and he ate them. I don't think he was much of a fan though. I would definitely go again. It wasn't too busy. Food was fresh and good prices. I just will try other sides.

Louie's is The small, mostly takeout spot could not have been more enjoyable. I got 3 Nashville hot tenders, extra hot, and it was the perfect spice I was looking for. The fries were some of the crunchiest I've had in my life, and the mac&cheese was so smooth and creamy. I got a few smoked wings as well and they were so moist and smokey. I can't wait to come back here!

Never had anything bad from here. The location is small but has picnic tables outside and no inside seating. Staff are always friendly. I've personally had the pulled chicken sandwich and smoked wings and I can hands down say the smoked wings are high on my favorites list. As for the other items I've not had I have had a ton of friends say the hot chicken is really good and it's not super spicy but does have a kick.

We went around 4:00pm on Friday. We were able to park out front and order as soon as we walked in. We placed our order to go and within less than 10 minutes it was ready! We had about a 30 minute drive home. Reheated the food in the oven just because of the long drive home. And it was INCREDIBLE. I got my chicken tenders in the medium heat sauce. It was not spicy, it was more of a sweet heat. They were some of the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Juicy. Crispy. Flavorful. I got fries + Mac & cheese as my sides. Both were also really good. We tried 2 chicken tenders in the hot sauce. It was good. It had a little more spice to it but it wasn't anything too spicy (which I appreciated) but still preferred the flavor of my medium chicken tenders. We also tried their smoked wings. WOW. Sweet & smokey. Full of flavor. Absolutely delicious. We will be back!

It's usually a good sign when you come into a place looking for hot chicken and they don't have any because you came too late and they've sold out. I've had this place on my radar for a while now, and we were in the area so we decided to check it out. Unfortunately the famous hot chicken was sold out. I'm gonna have to come back for it because I've had excellent hot chicken, and people speak very highly of this. We opted for some brisket by the pound with several of the sides. The brisket was pretty decent, the sauce variety paired nicely with it. For sides we got the potato salad, fries, and mac and cheese. We really liked the potato sides.The service was a little slow, but it was no big deal because the staff was very friendly and working as hard as they could. The inside is pretty cozy, and they have a nice patio outside for good weather days. Overall good experience, will definitely have to come back for the chicken!

This is one of our favorite chicken spots. Our first time we got the EXTRA hot style & man... was it HOT. We dialed it down this time & got the medium. It was good & full of flavor but next time we'll get basic hot. Great quality chicken. True Nashville hot style. They also have no heat options as well. Our favorite of the sides are the Mac & cheese, baked beans & fries. We love the Alabama white sauce & their Louie's sauce. They have plenty of sauces to choose from. They have a couple spots to eat inside but overall more picnic tables outside. They're friendly, efficient & very welcoming. Definitely recommend. I'm not sure if their restrooms are outside bc we've always got ours to go. Just wanted to give a heads up :) Still worth going either way.

Good food and good service we came late the bbq was all gone so we got chicken instead but it was real good and we'll be back for the bbq soon
