A few days before fat Tues my dear friend and I tried Lou Lou for the first time. New Orleans casual yet a refined atmosphere of New Orleans style. Bustling place with no wait. Escorted to table and Madeline's service was great. She was well versed on the menu. Table was set first class. Great wine selection everyone was happy as the rooms aglow. Starters of She Cab bisque soup and a Bayou seasoned Crab dip with side veggies & flat bread wedges OMG!Entree One of the Bourbon street Salmon perfectly cooked with asparagus and polenta, Very good!My Entree was a mouth watering Bone In seared Pork Chop, served with creole greens with a perfect cajon mash of potatoes. Each entree was plated first class had a flavor unique of southern low country. Highly recommendation. No reservations needed - though you may think so.Patio seating. Extra lot parking. Easy access.

Lou Lou in Middletown was such a good spot for a relaxed, delicious lunch. I met my friend here, and we were able to quickly get a table. The menu includes some Cajun favorites as well as pizzas and pastas. It seems like pretty much anyone could find something delicious to eat. I went with the cobb salad, which was piled high with lettuce, ham, egg, bacon, tomatoes, avocado and homemade bleu cheese dressing. It was a great salad for when you want something green but also something filling. Our food came out fast, and it was overall an enjoyable time. I would certainly come back.

Service was good - ordered jambalaya and pretty sure I got gumbo. Never had jambalaya seem... soupy? Was odd. I was going to question it, but when the manager brought it to the table he said "oh someone got the jambalaya" so didn't question it. Appetizers were really good. Chicken dip - highly recommend. Seemed like a good environment - lots of people even mid-day on a weekend! Maybe was just a one off. Will probably try it again.

My work team of six came for a weekday dinner and we had the best experience. Each of us started with a drink, from wine and beer to an old fashioned and lavender cocktail. They were enamored by the cheese sticks. Delicious! Plus a side of rich marinara.Three of their favorite dishes got ordered: chicken carbonara, four cheese ravioli, and gumbo. All dishes were emptied and the team was still talking about them the following day. We loved our table next to a wall of Mardi Gras masks. The atmosphere is loud due to the building design and acoustics. Service from our server, Deanna, was amazing and it continued amongst the folks bringing out food and drinks plus a visit from the manager.I'll be back and we're sharing the news with our co-workers that Lou Lou is open!

Went for brunch on Sunday the first week they were open, food and service were both great. Tried an omelette, wife had the shrimp and grits, both delicious. Inside totally redecorated and well done, great vibe. Our server (Mikey or Matty) did a great job. Can wait to try Lou Lou for dinner as well as the deep dish pizza.

We visited early on a Friday evening. Service was very good. Two people in our party had the hot brown. They said it was good but not the best in Louisville. Myself and my niece had the jambalaya. We were very pleased. Very tasty dish and a large portion. Finished with the bananas foster cheesecake which was excellent. We will certainly be back soon.

The staff at the door were friendly and seated us for our reservation promptly. They checked on us as we waited for the rest of our party. Tom & Johnny (managers) were excellent. They were very present and making sure everyone's experience was great. Our server, Sharon, made sure our orders were correct & delicious. She was busy, but always available to make sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. The burgers were cooked as ordered, juicy, & full of flavor. The Hot Brown had a different spin with white cheese, but was so yummy! The short rib and shrimp & grits our friends order were also reported as delicious. We will definitely be back again!Prices were a little high, but so worth it!! Sorry, no pics, we couldn't wait to dive into our dishes.

Great ambiance. Great service. Food, just okay. The Gumbo was not hot, thermally speaking, just barely warm. Also the ratio of rice to Gumbo was a bit high. The sampler platter was okay with the Etouffe getting high marks. The oysters were quite good. All in al no one should expect to think this is NOLA.
