It's attached to a gas station and has its own parking. The food is why you come and the people who run it. Makes you think you came to visit your aunties place who knows how to cook !!I am a biscuit and gravy aficionado. Check the pics. We both got the pawpaws. The food is off the hook.

This is truly a hole in the wall on the corner of a gas station building but it's neat and clean. It's hard to find the first time because there is no sign on the street, just the name painted above the front door. GPS will take right to it but you may miss it first pass as we did. Parking is adequate. The people are friendly; for outsiders, the protocol is confusing. You need to know to come in and make yourself at home at any empty table if the waitress is not present. She'll be along shortly and give you a menu. We are Hoosiers who know a really truly breaded tenderloin. I'm always afraid to try them in new places but my husband was ready to take a chance and it paid off. This was a huge tenderloin--but not pounded flat like usual, the batter breading was out of this world as was the entire thing. He loved it and gave me a bite to show me what I had missed. I got the mushroom/swiss burger and was delighted. It was REAL ground beef hand formed into a large patty. It is the best hamburger I've had in years and years. I wish we lived closer than 2 hours away, I'd frequent this place--and have myself a breaded tenderloin sandwich!

There are reasons to be wary of gas station restaurants, I get it. But don't worry - Lillie's is fine. It's also pretty much your only option in Orleans. Every time I come, the small space is packed. There's only one waitress so service can be a little slow but the food is great. I've only been for breakfast, but the biscuits and gravy are amazing. Living in New York, I don't get the chance for a good southern style breakfast often so I seize the chance when I'm here. The biscuits are perfect -- soft and flaky. And the gravy is loaded with sausage bits. I'm sure a half order would be enough, but I destroy a full order. I haven't tried their lunch, but they were advertising a Reuben so I'm sure I'll be back when I get a chance.

They may be a little place, but they have a big heart for their customers. They make a complete stranger feel like a part of their family there. And the food . . . you can't improve on perfection when it's the best you can get for your money.

Best food and customer service ever! A few times we've had to wait to get a table because the popularity of this fine restaurant is growing every day. Very pleasant atmosphere, easy to read menus, and outstanding customer service.
