Lightning Food Mart

I visited this establishment a few weeks back while I was up in Indiana I got a few snacks on the inside drink for the road on the way back when everything was solid it's a good little place on the inside it has everything you need

There's only one reason I can think of to review this kind of store and it is service. Lightning is a mom and pop convenience store that we frequent for sodas, water, newspapers, lotto tickets (when the pot is up), and the not so good for us junk that we don't need. They don't have gas or alcohol, but this little store keeps a steady flow of customers. I think their biggest sellers are sodas, cigarettes, and lottery tickets. We don't smoke, so I can't speak on their cigarette prices but their bottled sodas, water, and fountain drinks are cheap. They have been owned by the same local family for decades and managed by the same manager for almost as long. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The store is super clean, albeit small. Their claim to fame, if you will, is having the most lotto winners in the Southern Indiana area with pictures of winners and an article in the Tribune as proof. That is not why I am a customer though.I continue to stop in here because they are local and consistently friendly. The added bonus is the cleanliness and the absence of some of the typical convenient store riff raff in the area. They have a drive-thru but I have never used it. They are located across from McDonald's on Charlestown Road right next to Mandarin Cafe.
