I like these kind of bars. Simple, divey, hole in the wall, a come as you are kind of a place. I had driven past this place many times without even noticing this bar as it's in a place you wouldn't expect a bar to be. Plus it's a bit tucked in off Bardstown Road compared to other businesses just a block or two away. This place isn't huge and excluding the recently closed Freddies, it's the smallest bar that I know of. But it's large enough to hold a crowd of perhaps 40 people comfortably, large enough to have a pool table, and it has decent sounding speakers playing your songs off of the TouchTunes Jukebox. It does have several mounted television usually showing sports as well. The place is laid out what brings to mind a shotgun house- you step in and what you see straight back against the far wall is it. But it brings people a bit closer and with the varying types of crowds that sometimes show up, it's nice to mingle with people you normally wouldn't with at a larger bar. Left Field Lounge has many beer bottles but also has a rotating selection of multiple beers on tap including some craft beer. I've been served by different bartenders and service from all of them has been exceptional. They've answered questions when I was unsure about certain beers, and they've had some great recommendations and given me samples to make sure I would like the choice. And they have all been really kind people persons. The place could use a bit of upgrades, it's a bit of an older place, but it has all that's needed to have a good time. Music, TV, a pool table, and if there is no one else around, the bartenders make great conversation if you need it!

OH MY LORD. Went to this bar as my first bar after my 21st birthday (covid kept me from going to bars). My dad went here for his 21st birthday and so did my sister so I was really excited to go for my 21st. Walked in and nothing but the baseball game was playing--not really a fan. It was pretty lame alll around but I came for something specific-- the devil shot. I got it. Asked to play music while taking the shot and the bartender was ALL about it. He was so nice. He had a Red's jersey on and STILL muted the game so I could play a song. There was a "boo" from the crowd, but Sean quickly corrected it with "it's not your bar man." I had a great time and would recommend this bar SIPMLY FOR THE BARTENDER.

It's a dive, hole in the wall kinda place. Know that ahead of time. I was there on a Monday, between the 3-7 happy hour. Even though I didn't have anything on the happy hour special, everything was cheap. At the bar was political chatter. I tried my best to tune it out and then finally decided to shoot a few games of pool. At fifty cents per game, I think that was the cheapest game of pool I've ever shot in my life. My cheap pool game glory didn't last long though, a local quickly came up and called next game with my partner. He was all too serious and got offended when we had to leave. Dude, we've got places to be.

It smelled super funky inside....The credit card reader wasn't working. But drinks are cold and good, jukebox tunes, and they let you bring in food and eat there. We came here because we were wanting dinner from the Fish Fry House next door....who, it seems, is no longer in possession of a liquor license. We wanted beer with our fish and the people at Left Field Lounge let us hang about and eat and drink.

Simple? Yes. Divey? You bet! This place is always worth a visit. Personally, I'm usually here on weekdays when I go, because it's a short walk from my house. The prices are reasonable and they have a juke box. Plus, with a few TVs on site, I'd say it's safe to find your current sports event. Usually they have one bartender on at a time, providing the feel that everyone is just hanging out. I dig it!

Make no mistake--this is a dive bar. Do not be expecting more than that. Luckily, I love dive bars. They seem to allow dogs, if that's your thing. Someone had theirs inside on a leash. There is a pool table and some games here if you get bored, and a jukebox that's easy to use if you want music control. The drinks are pretty cheap and they had some good beer on tap. The bartender here was very friendly, and was super understanding and helpful when I had to call to ask if my cell phone was left there (and it was--it was a rough night). I've had some fun times here. If you want an unassuming atmosphere and a chill night with friends, I recommend this spot.

I stopped by here as a visitor from out of town. WOW!!!! What a fun place. Nick the bartender was a gracious host and the people there felt like one big family. I had planned to just stop in for a beer and be on my way. I stayed for roughly 3 hours because the atmosphere was so welcoming. The prices are great as well for just about everything.

Good spot for some brews. It's a small place but packs in several bar games with golden tee 2019, pool and darts. There are several TVs and the bar keep was quick with it. They have a solid variety of bourbon and beer, so I'll be back for sure.
