Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken

Haven't eaten at Lee's in thirty years since I moved away from Louisville. Tried it and it was just as I remembered! And since I've left, they've added a spicy option which was a pleasant surprise! Good heat but not overpowering. Will definitely be back for more since I've moved back to the area!

I don't usually do fast food however Lee is one of our most favorite places to go to for lunch. We probably go at least once every other week and have been for the last few years. It's much better than KFC and most of the other chicken places surrounding it. I always get the five piece strip meal and the coleslaw here is the best !! Service at this location is exceptional always with a smile and southern politeness, the atmosphere is that a cafeteria however we take it to go and eat at the park. Love this place

It was ok for fast food. I got the chicken finger lunch plate. The chicken was greasy and the biscuits were a little too loaded with butter. Service was good. I used to love Lee's. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing this time.

Love Lee's and this is our go-to family fried chicken spot. It's a walk up counter and they are no frills here. The service up front is always attentive and all about getting you in and out. We opt for the traditional and spicy, which is zesty and has a bite to it. Sides are a mixed bag here - the biscuits are well done, the Mac is pretty basic, and the green beans are solid.

Lee's Famous Chicken never disappoints! I don't eat here often, but always enjoy the food when I treat myself to a good cheat meal. Last night I arrived around 6:30 and the parking lot was packed, as usual. They offer parking directly off Brownsboro Road, but be careful pulling out. They also have a few spots off the side street. When I arrived there was a line of 6 people waiting in front of me. The line moved fast and typically the food comes out pretty quick too. I was able to order relatively quickly, but it took a bit longer for my food (maybe 10 minutes, which isn't usual). There were three people working behind the counter. It's a well oiled machine. I ordered the 3-piece chicken strips, coleslaw, potato wedges and sprite. Everything was hot and delicious. Their strips were very large and didn't have too much breading, which I appreciate. I love the potato wedges as a side, and the coleslaw makes me feel healthy (ha!). Also, maybe it's been a while since I've had a sprite, but it was really good. Tasted like it had extra syrup in it. The reason for only 4 stars, I noticed that folks weren't wearing gloves when packaging and checking orders. Other than that, the food is always super yummy!

My father and I stop by this location yesterday for lunch. He is a big wings chicken fan I'm Soso on every location this when I'm going to base it off OK service and the chicken was just OK I mean it's drive-through fried chicken so it's about average I would say it's not bad not great just average for the shot if you like chicken

Really good chicken!I came here to grab carry out. They seem to not have a phone line as the call doesn't seem to go through.They've got parking on the side and the front (which backs up into the street).They actually have seating for those who dine in. It seemed odd, since the place looks like somewhere you'd get only carry out.I ordered the 9-piece classic, oven roasted. It was grilled, but still well-seasoned. We also had 4 biscuits that came with it and 2 sides. We tried green beans and the potato wedges.I was impressed! Everything was flavorful!I'd have to come back again and try the spicy crispy chicken. Seems like that's a popular choice.They also serve Luzianne sweet tea. Bonus points!Once you place your order at the counter, they prepare it immediately. We must've waited almost 15-20 seconds for our food!

My mother in law and I went through the drive thru on 1/1/23. We spent 49$ and half the food wasn't even what we ordered. My mother in law ordered the seniors meal, and she got chicken strips. All the biscuits were burnt, and my son didn't receive one of his sides. My pint of chicken livers looked like a small cup, and they messed up our drinks. We were supposed to have 1 large sweet tea (got that), 1 medium Pepsi (got that), supposed to have a large mtn dew (got a medium but paid for large), got another medium Pepsi (was supposed to be a medium mtn dew). My husband didn't receive at least 2 of his items. It's just awful trying to get food from there. The last few times I have been to this Lee's has been awful. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! Thank goodness for Chick fil A coming to Danville.

Been a long time customer but the last 3 visits failed to meet expectations. I was there today @ 4:25 and a small white girl took my order. I asked if the 3 peace dark meal included a wing and she said no, the wing isn't considered dark???? But she did say it could be included in a dark meal which I accepted. I also ordered it crispy/spicey and of course when I got home, they weren't. I like in Prospect and if it wasn't so far, I would have returned the dinners and the chicken wasn't hot. Thought you needed to know.
