!!! NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT ALERT!!!Wow. This is legitimately the closest I have been to tearing up at a meal. My husband discovered this place when he was perusing on Google Maps looking for something else. This was the happiest accident and I could not be happier we visited. I am from Venezuela and this is place is legit. They have foods that other Venezuelan places in the area don't offer, and varieties that are authentic and far better (the empanadas!!). I got the mandocas (plantain and corn horseshoe-shaped fritters), cheese and potato pastelito (like a cross between a pizza pocket and a pierogi, but better in every way), arepa pabellon, and a beef empanada. Everything was sublime. These empanadas are different than ones you may be used to, since they are corn based instead of wheat based, making them many levels better than you can imagine. It was very nostalgic experience. Even without the nostalgia, the food is that good, and so worthwhile heading over here. There's so much more on the menu I wanted to try. Guess I'll have to come back! The staff was wonderful, and the atmosphere inside was joyful, with beautiful murals. Highly, highly, highly recommend!
