Laha's Red Castle Hamburgers

Absolutely one of the best burgers sliders hard in my French you will ever eat ever the small town five with the old style service is absolutely impeccable not a lot of room but very nice atmosphere. You can see your order being made outstanding service.

LaHa's Red Castle (pronounced Lay-hay's) was a pleasant surprise. While visiting the nearby Lincoln Birthplace, a local volunteer told me it should be on my radar for a local dive. The place is SMALL. Tiny. There's only a soda fountain type counter with about ten (10) seats. The small area means people standing against the wall behind you while awaiting their food. It's awkward; people constantly reaching over you, between you and others. I overheard one of the ladies behind the counter say there's no personal space in there. Truth. The burgers are tiny...I finished the burger in 4 bites, but price was as small as the burger, so if anything...it was my fault as a newbie not ordering two! This was going to be a 4-star review, but once I got used to all the people around, I started listening. Everyone knows everyone in this little town (or at least it seems). It was homey, friendly, almost like all these people were family. I mean, makes sense, this place has been around four generations. What a tradition. One of the owners (I assume) even let me snag a photo of a photo of President Eisenhower in front of LaHa's when they were still just a shack! If I ever go back to Lincoln's birthplace, I'm definitely headed back to LaHa's!

Not bad, not bad! We were in the Hodgenville area and had heard that this place was the place to go for a good, cheap meal. The locale is right in the middle of downtown in a tiny little shop. Heads up though, it's cash only!It's super simple food, a super simple menu. For what it is, it was pretty solid. We got a couple of burgers with fries to go; we wouldn't have bebe able to sit, the shop is teeny tiny with a couple of bar seats that were already occupied. There were several servers working, tending to customers, and working the grill. We really enjoyed our food. Overall we had a great experience! If you're ever in Hodgenville give it a try!

I'm not sure how you've been around 90 years and can't get a 5 star review... the burger with its smashed concept has an amazing crust with melted cheese and the buns are soft. Along with the grilled onion on top, this burger is a perfect combination. So good, I had 3 doubles..... check out more on. On my TT @tarheelfoodie828

Long time establishment of serving up mini pattied burgers seared on a grill with a slather of onions on a Sunny Bun. Sound familiar, but better.Counter seating is at a premium and to go business is booming. Hot dog with a smear of chilli to sog up my Heiners bun, with a slice of cold American processed cheese and then those onions.Joint jumps around lunch time on a Saturday.

Laha's has served the Hodgenville community since 1934. Growing up, it was always a staple on the weekends. After relocating to California in the last two years I just HAD to make the drive from Louisville to have a taste of Laha's and they are still just as delicious as I remembered! While dining I was asked about the likes of "In & Out" as I came from California. I said nobody got a thang on Laha's!!! Keep up the amazing work, Laha's crew.

This hole in the wall brought back memories for my husband of his dad's restaurant in Denver post-WWII. We were between Lincoln's birthplace and boyhood home and bypassed the chain restaurants at the edge of town figuring there had to be something with local flavor. Laha's hit all the notes. Tiny 10-seat counter with a limited menu, we were greeted immediately and asked if we wanted to eat in or take our order to go. We opted for a couple seats at the end of the counter.Our double cheeseburgers and fries were up quickly and really hit the spot. Juicy, with crisp edges, just the way they should be.

Food is always amazing! Staff is warm and welcoming! Fun environment to chow-down on and sit at the bar or outside or take your order to-go! Don't hesitate to stop in for a burger and the best fries ever! 5+ stars

had the classic cheeseburger for the first time today. i am sold. i would walk barefoot from ft knox for these burgers. with a 65 year history, it's easy to see why they are still open. DELICIOUS!!!!
