Kyoto Gardens

Kyoto Gardens is my go-to spot for delicious Japanese food! I always order the teriyaki chicken (no zucchini), and they get it right every time. Whether I dine in or take my order to go, the food is always fresh, generous in portion, and ready quickly. The service is excellent, and the owner is always there to greet guests, which adds a personal touch. While I'm not a sushi fan, I hear from others that it's amazing--and judging by how packed this place always is, I believe it! Highly recommend!

Still the best place for affordable, delicious hibachi chicken in BG!! Where else can you get a great filling meal like this for under $10? Big fan of the hibachi chicken - this time I also got the shrimp. Always comes with rice, veggies, a side of carrots, and the yummy white sauce!! I always call ahead and get takeout but the indoor dining area is spacious and nice. Staff is friendly. Great place!! One of my favorites in town. Thank you!

The food is fresh and the staff are friendly and genuine especially Heath. Excellent service and great prices!

Well... it's cheap, I guess?The sushi was flavorless and mushy. Tried 3 different rolls (the dragon, moonlight and monkey) and they all, despite having different ingredients, tasted amazingly the same - that is to say, like mushy water with a slight fishy taste. Also they are deep fried in ... honestly I'm not sure what. It looked like KFC - We began calling it Kentucky Fried Sushi. The Lo mein was mostly salty. Very little meat or veggies. You get served broth upon sitting. Not soup, just some hot brown water. It taste like salt. The teriyaki chicken didn't taste like much. Again not much meat, which we didn't really care about since we weren't going to eat it all. I almost want to give it an extra star for being so cheap... but it just doesn't matter that it's cheap because it's not worth eating. Hate to put it like that but...Also I've just got to say, it bills itself as a Japanese steak house but it looks like a Chinese place inside and they give fortune cookies at the end

Miss this place one of the best Japanese restaurants in Bowking Green!!! Come here for a quick or dinner with the fam. Reasonably priced and the food is of good quality. Miss seeing the owners lovely faces! Wish y'all the best and stop here if you haven't already!

As soon as we (party of 2) walked in, the greeter yelled at us while remaining seated at a table (wrapping silverwear) saying "2?" I said "yes." She replied "sit wherever you want." We sat, then ordered (me: shrimp & scallops; her: jumbo shrimp). The "jumbo shrimp" was nowhere near jumbo, and was the same size as the shrimp on my plate, which easily fit on a spoon. With drinks, it was $33.88 + tip. By the way, we never... NEVER saw our server after our food was delivered, until she brought the check. When I paid at the register, the manager asked how the meal was. I said "the 'jumbo shrimp' was the size of salad shrimp. He acted surprised, so I'm guessing nobody looked at our food. He added that he was going to complain. Cisco was supposed to have sent them jumbo shrimp. Yeah, right!Again, I guess nobody looked at the shrimp.If you enjoy this type of cuisine, like I do, get it somewhere else.

We had Heath "like the candy bar" as our server and he was amazing! He took notice of my hijab and made sure to ask if I had any dietary restrictions and was very considerate to reassure that everything I had was safe for me to eat. He was very attentive and we had a great experience. We ordered the WKU roll and the midnight roll and they were both amazing! Great atmosphere and lovely wait staff

Kyoto Gardens is one of my favorite places to eat. As someone who highly values cleanliness, food safety, and value this restaurant can not be beat. Please disregard all comments about how this food is subpar, or the ambiance is off. This is a casual Asian restaurant, and it is the best casual asian restaurant I've been to yet. To start, the facility is incredibly clean, especially for someone who feels uncomfortable when things are dirty I haven't felt uncomfortable at this restaurant once. As if this wasn't enough you can eat here and bring home leftovers for 10 dollars. This is not a luxury you can get in many places these days, especially at a sit-down service restaurant. The food is always fantastic, vegetables are perfectly cooked every time I've never had a problem with meat being under or overcooked and their ginger sauce is to die for. Some reviews have mentioned how their miso soup is not true miso soup, but newsflash: if you don't like it, you don't have to drink it. Here is an honest review of the miso soup, it is a brown broth clear soup, and the broth is beef and mushroom flavored. No mushrooms or chives are in the soup and it is very salty- and it is free. So take that how you will, if you want one free appetizer to ruin your entire experience that is your prerogative. I will finish by saying this, I have always felt cared for when I step into this restaurant. Every single person on the staff is a kind soul who genuinely cares about your experience. What more need be said? It will always be a safe, friendly, affordable choice for me and my family.
