First of all- this is the only location that I have noticed is completely in a separate parking lot from the Kroger store. It is kind of strange and a bit inconvenient. I wish the Highlands Kroger would have put it where the old CVS was in the shared parking lot. Besides that, the shop is fine. They sell a variety of wine, beer and liquor at reasonable prices. I think the beer prices are very good but the wine is just average. For example- one of my favorite white wines is Kung Fu Girl Riesling and it is "on sale" at Kroger Wine and Spirits for $12.99 but that is the normal price for it at The Wine Rack (my fav) and at Total Wine and More it is only $8.99. The one perk I like is the instant wine chiller. It is a giant tub that you can put a bottle in to chill in about 2 minutes. Pretty cool.

This place is marvelous and had I been on my game that day I would have gotten the staff's name, older gentleman and younger lady working on Sunday you are fantastic. You were a huge help. The election, right? My cliquey clique is throwing the mother of all Taco Tuesdays for the election and it is BYOB and BAMBAYCC*. At Yelp's Art in Action and at the Yelp Elite Pajama Party the fabulous, delightful, and gregarious young lady representing Cardinal Spirits has sold me on her product. I was looking for the Bramble Vodka. I couldn't find it, the people who worked there found it for me AND the recipe card from Cardinal Spirits AND the other ingredients I needed. This Kroger Wine and Spirits is small but comprehensive, they have what you're looking for and a very friendly staff to help you find what you're looking for. They also have (in a shock for Bardstown Road) easy to deal with parking. Also, had it not been for Yelp I would not have thought to look here for this great small batch Vodka or even known about it. Good on you, Yelp! Good on you! *Bring as much booze as you can carry

Love this spot, they have a great wine, bourbon, and beer selection, with an option to get a growler of fresh tapped brew to go. Last time I was in here (which was last week hehe), I was seeking some white wine to cook with and some red wine to drink. I asked one of the girls working what was the cheapest but not overly repulsive white wine to cook with, and she immediately knew what I was talking about. She had definitely been in this predicament before (kudos, girl!), and handed over a cheap $7 bottle. My homemade vegan alfredo was beyond perfection that night because of this. They also have several samplings each month, and I've seen Copper & Kings here several times. They will provide you with samples of their beer on tap to help you decide what you are looking for, along with pretzels (thank you, Kroger). And the prices are wonderfully low, too! Kudos, Kroger :)

Great sales and friendly staff. I was up in Lou travelling and needed to pick up some staples before I went home, so stopped in on and off chance with no expectations...all I can say is WOW! Excellent selection and phenomenal prices. They have a HUGE sale right now, I saved 20.00 off a bottle of super expensive bottle of Bourbon . Don't sleep on Kroger!

I never thought I would be giving a review of a Kroger liquor store...let alone a 5-star review... But this store really deserves it. Good price and selection, including lots of cold craft beers. Very friendly staff. There's also a wine chiller and a rotating selection of taps for growlers. The best part is that you can actually sit down for a pint. $2.50 per serving and your choice of pint glass with your first beer (limit 2 per customer). I almost hesitate to share this tidbit because I want to make sure there's always a spot for me at the bar, but I guess it's probably safe to let the secret out. Will be back again and again!

The specials are always spot on here, while original prices are still pretty fair. The staff is always very friendly and the selection is pretty good. You're not going to get the big liquor store variety here or the higher end flavors or the rare finds, but there are plenty of options for the 'usual' and even some mid-upper tier options. The beer selection in the main store I think is actually a little better, so go right next door for beer... same discounts available as the liquor store too. But the liquor store does offer growlers right at the register so it's a pretty quick setup for a fresh draft beer to go-home.
