We were looking for a good Mom and Pop place to eat when we happened by Knepps. We decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the most delicious looking cinnamon buns I've ever laid my eyes on. I somehow managed to walk past the treats which were temping me and we sat ourselves at a table. The waitress promptly came over and took our drink order. As she was gathering our drinks we made our way to the bar. Tons of fresh vegetables, salad, chicken, catfish. We loaded our plates and chowed down. The food was delicious!! The vegetables were perfectly seasoned, not loaded down with fat or butter. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And for dessert we had the blackberry pie which was stellar. I would highly recommend this place. Food, service, and cleanliness were all on point!

It is similar to the gastof restaurant but less of a sit down buffet and more of a deli style food area. The food is quite good and you can see the heavily influenced Amish culture in it.The works always have a good attitude.

A friend told me to go here awhile back, saying that Knepp's has the best fried chicken of the Amish-style restaurants along the general US-50-150 corridor. My work schedule finally accommodated a stop and I was not disappointed. The fried chicken was crunchy outside, moist inside, and flavorful throughout. The vegetables, especially stewed tomatoes and zucchini, were tasty, though the noddles and green beans were a tad on the salty side. The pecan pie was good, though a different style from what I am used to.The service was good overall, though I asked for a few extra napkins and never received them. Like most restaurants, the attentiveness lagged toward the end of my stay. However, the staff were all courteous and pleasant. Finally, at $6.99 (drink not included), this was an absolute steal for lunch.I'll be back!

Knepp's is the Amish Buffet style restaurant that the locals frequent. It's not as touristy as the others, and the food is better than the others in the area. I always get friendly service (I don't like cold pie and they are always happy to warm me up a slice). I like that they give you the option to just get salad bar or hot bar or both.

Maybe I just hit on a bad night but I was totally unimpressed with this buffet. It had been plowed through pretty heavily before I got there and it needed to be freshened up. In my opinion, it was quite bland. In addition, there were cleanliness issues in my booth and the entire floor. I thought it was expensive for what I got. On the plus side, the pie selection was good and I enjoyed the coconut cream that I chose. You don't get a second chance to make a good first impression so I won't be back.
