The food was okay--nothing particularly remarkable or memorable. It was decent but not something I'd go out of my way for.One thing that stood out was that they charge an extra dollar if you opt for alternative milk like oat, which felt a bit unnecessary. On the bright side, the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, making it a nice spot to sit and relax in this blistering cold.

My girlfriends and I have eaten here several times for breakfast. They have a great selection, and the food is always tasty--this time, I chose from the light entrees, the omelet with egg whites, veggies, and feta. The side is an excellent selection of fruit. First of all, the food was delicious, as always. The server was attentive and patient with us. However, this place is always really noisy, so it's hard to hear, and the service is slow. Slow was okay for us since we weren't in a hurry, but it was hard to carry on a conversation. I'm sure we'll be back, but maybe we need to pick a different time.

We love to just search for local, independent places to support when we are traveling. Today was no exception. Today we found Kite and Key in Evansville, Indiana while traveling. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and the place was packed! Always a great sign. We tried both coffee and a Latte and we both each had a different type of breakfast platter off the menu so we got to sample everything from biscuits, English muffins, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, eggs over easy and those wonderful German potatoes. We were seated at a table for 6 although there was only two of us. Forgot speak with the owner who was there working hard. Such a friendly fellow. The entire place was very welcoming! Another couple came in and they were seated at the other end of the 6 top we were at. Nice getting to chat and have breakfast with a couple we didn't even know. Food here was excellent and very reasonably priced!! We highly recommend for breakfast. Wish we could have stayed around and for the bread pudding we spotted on the menu!!!

Slow, slow, slow service. It seems the backup is in the kitchen as there seemed to be adequate staffing in the lobby. Orders were coming out in 15 min increments it seemed. We waited an hour after ordering for our food. Food was very good. Down home taste and everything seemed fresh and cooked to order. Wait staff were very nice and on top of refills. If it wasn't for the wait, this would be a top pick.

I had breakfast here on a recent visit and it was amazing. My parents were both from Mississippi and to say their biscuits and gravy were close to daddy's is saying something. Atmosphere was good but crowded and loud. I also had a BlackEye coffee (house coffee with a double shot of espresso) I consider myself a coffee aficionado (also know as a home Barista ) as coffee quality and taste is extremely important to me. I just wasn't impressed but remember with coffee one person's not impressed is another's perfect cup.

This place was the perfect find for breakfast and amazing coffee!! The wait staff was more then accommodating and friendly. The country Ben was bursting with savory flavor. Best thing I've tried for breakfast in awhile and the German potatoes well let's just say they don't give you enough because they are so darn good. My wife had the crepes and waffles and loved them as well.... Next time we are riding thru we will be back for sure.

We had Kite and Key for a Sunday brunch and had a fantastic meal. We did have a longer than expected wait for food but good coffee and pleasant staff helped the wait. The food was 10/10. They had The best German potatoes I have had in several years. They have a good and affordable kids menu. We tried omelette, pancakes, crepes, and waffles and all were very good. I look forward to returning to their patio on a warmer day!
