Shouldn't be surprised artist would know how to make a creative use for all their space. My first time attending KCAD was for a combination event with the Louisville ballet. While some art was available, most of the spaces and rooms were cleared to host an interactive ballet experience. The venue has a private lot, but there is plenty of metered street parking. They made full use of each space by incorporating colorful lights, small art pieces, and of course the wonderful Louisville ballet dancers. This venue was an unknown for me but I was glad to discover another great visual arts studio in town. I'll definitely be on the look out for future gallery announcements.

How does one rate an art gallery? By the space or the curation or should the variability of works just warrant a 'gentleman's C'?This is not much more than an odd-shaped room, but a fine enough spot to see some good exhibits. This particular gallery is a vehicle for the Kentucky College of Art + Design, and they swap out shows frequently. Sometimes they showcase student works, sometimes works of professors or visiting residents, and sometimes they curate something else altogether. Limited hours -- nobody here is getting rich.
