Kabuki Hibachi & Ramen Express New Albany

I'm of the opinion that this place is a little overpriced. That said, I've enjoyed my meals here each time, and the location is extremely convenient for me. Definitely order ahead to avoid a wait.

Shrimp, scallops and calamari cooked to tender perfection for me. One daughter got the miso and the other got the teriyaki shrimp and crab Rangoon. All was delicious!! Very warm reception and the food was done super quick. What a great find.

Ordered here again for lunch. We love the food and serving but prices are quite steep, considering that this is not a traditional restaurant where you sit down, a menu is given and a server attends to you. There is an up-charge if you order a fried rice instead of white rice for your hibachi meal. They also do not have a fountain drink and they don't provide free water.Besides these concerns, quality of food remain great. I ordered a veggie hibachi and my mom got a bowl of ramen. They were excellently made, just a bit pricey.

It has been a very rough year for me. This is the first review I have been able to do in some time. We were driving past, and my youngest is a ramen lover. Since I never have had it other than what they try to pass off as legit in the grocery stores, we stopped. Now, the app said it was closed on this fine Sunday, but they were not. My daughter and I had the Garlic Tonkotsu. She had the chicken, and I had the pork. We both added another egg for 1.50. which, in hindsite, was not worth the extra charge. The one it came with was enough. It didn't add anything, in my opinion. We both could not finish our bowls. I would eat her again, but the price was a little off sitting. Three of us for 70 was a little steep, in my opinion. We did get a couple of appetizers, which inflated the price by 11 and was not tasty enough to get again. I have had better. If you like my wife's take, see her review. It more of a take out place than a sit in amd there sit up like that. If I lived closer it be worth having it as an alternative to other carry outs. Overall, the food was good, minus the appetizers, and if you're doing a carryout, fix them at home. The price is the only reason it received a 4 star.

Pretty great ramen for new Albany! We stopped by for a pickup order while in southern Indiana, so I didn't get a chance to sit down and experience the ambiance. Interactions were limited, but the staff was friendly and ordering takeout was easy.Food was great, and also quite inexpensive for a bowl of ramen. Our family enjoyed it, and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

We went out for a drive after church and found this cute little place. We ordered crab Rangoon and spring rolls for appetizers. I ordered the chicken and steak hibachi with fried rice, my daughter got the garlic tonkotsu ramen with chicken and my husband got the garlic tonkotsu ramen with pork. We all really enjoyed our food. We will be back again to try more delicious food. If you are in the new Albany area you should come try it. It was a little pricey but really good.

Looking for ramen, hibachi dishes, dumplings, and more? Kabuki Express needs to be on your short list for carryout Japanese.This is an "express" location because there are only 2 tables and they don't offer sushi - in restaurant dining and sushi can be enjoyed at their Jeffersonville location ( near the Jeff Meijer).We ordered take out, which consisted of:- Dumplings (Gyoza) $5.00 - 4 dumplings served with a side of a sweet brown sauce.- Shoyu Ramen with chicken $12.95 - soy based broth with chicken, ramen noodles, corn, scallions, half a hard boiled egg, broccoli. Order with white or fried rice (we went with the fried rice).- Hibachi Chicken $11.95 - mixed vegetables, yum2 sauce, chicken and your choice of white or fried rice.Everything was hot, fresh, and extremely tasty. The staff is super friendly and helpful!Keep in mind - this location is best for take-out. Overall, I recommend Kabuki Express and hope that you enjoy it too!

It's not the cheapest lunch destination, but you will get an excellent meal for the price. Steak and chicken hibachi tastes amazing. The chicken ramen is also great. You can order ahead and take out to avoid the any wait time.

Disclaimer: I only ordered a side of fried rice to try this place out. The service was amazing. The waiter was polite, prompt, and helpful. The food was decent, but I'm not sure it was my favorite- I'm a vegetarian, and it tasted a little bit like sausage. Fingers crossed that there wasn't any meat/meat-based broth used in the rice. There weren't any vegetables in the rice- not even the customary pieces of onion, peas, carrots, or green onion. It was fine- not great but certainly not bad. I'll have to go back and order a full dish in order to form a complete opinion. The full dishes seemed a bit pricy for what it is, but that's okay- everyone has to make a living in this economy. Ultimately, I would advise anyone reading this to give it a try. I'm pretty sure it's a local business, so it's always nice to help a fellow Hoosier out.

First visit, we will definitely return! My 13 year old love the ramen. The 11 year old loved the chicken hibachi. There are a few tables to sit and eat or takeout was very popular while we sat and ate. The individual that took our order was great at giving insight to the flavors of items on the menu. She checked in on us frequently and had a great smile. Highly recommend!!
