Spicy Wontons at Judy's Kitchen. Yummy
Three cup chicken. As you can see it's such a huge portion, they had to put the rice in a separate bowl! Lasted us for two meals.
Hand made Taiwanese sausage. 5 pieces of Chinese tamale 粽子 on the right.

The service was amazing, very quick and knowledgeable. The place had a really lovely like liminal space vibe, which I found delightful. Oh, but the food, the food was INCREDIBLE! AND it reheats well. The portions are good, not too much nor too little. The food was well-seasoned and wasn't made of tiny unidentifiable bits, so you don't feel like you're eating plastic-ridden mystery pastes. 10/10, I will be a repeat customer:)

This is, without a doubt, the best mall Chinese food I've ever eaten. Which sounds like damning with faint praise, but I'd still put this place up there with Bloomington's best free-standing restaurants. I'd even put it on the level of some of the places back around Rockville.

I've gone here twice for lunch after running some errands in the mall. They have a lot of authentic and good sounding options that I end up wanting to order half of the menu each time I come.My first time I got the three cup chicken and wontons in chili oil. Both were hot and fresh. The three cup chicken was really good with a slightly sweet and salty flavor. Slices of ginger and onion added good flavor as well. The wontons were large and the filling and chili oil also had great flavor. The second time I got the spicy pig ears and cucumber salad. Both have good flavor and the fact that they're both cold dishes makes them good for when it's hot in the summer like this. One of my favorite things about this is that the food was served in tupperwares. As a student that's only here for two months, I didn't want to spend money on tupperware for such a short period of time. Now I just use the tupperware the food came in!Overall, food and service are great, definitely not what you would expect of a restaurant in a mall food court. Would recommend!

Food was really good. But they need to mark when the food is hot with spice. I had orange chicken - spicy for this wuss but mom had the pork fried rice which was really good

Honestly, if you're just considering that this is in a mall food court, it may merit 5 stars. The food is really good. My dining partner got the 1/4 roast duck. The meat seemed sparse and not a great cut, but the flavor was good per him. I got a sweet chicken dish and it seemed like fried nugs with ill spread sauce, but it was flavorful. I was bummed I couldn't swap out white rice or get a side of lo mein--you have to buy the whole dish if you want that.

I ordered the roast duck with rice and it's a pretty decent portion for the price. The skin was crispy, the meat was fresh, and they gave some pretty good cuts!

This spot is located in College Mall, in the food court. The staff is very friendly. You do gets tons of food, but it just did not have the flavor I was looking for or that I have had at other similar restaurants. I ordered the spicy duck and could not even finish my meal. The rice was bland and the spring rolls were not much better. The food is edible and not unbearable. Many people seem to like this place though, this is just my honest take on it.

There's always a good amount of people at Judy's Kitchen and it's a quick bite to grab if you're visiting the mall or just want face Chinese food. There's a good amount of choices on the menu for a reasonable price ($5-$15) and the portions are fair. One of the critiques I have is that the food is a little bit bland. It's nice for a quick pick up but if you want more flavorful food, I would suggest going to other Chinese restaurants. However, I do see a lot of Chinese people eating here so it is a popular place.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Bloomington and even better, has the seal of approval from my Chinese mom! Judy's Kitchen is a Taiwanese style kitchen meaning they serve roasted meats like pork (Char Siu) and duck. They also have some Taiwanese staples like their popcorn chicken and beef noodle soup. They also have bubble tea made from real ingredients like taro or red bean as often times, boba places use powder to make the tea base. Before we moved from Bloomington entirely, my fiancé and I wanted to eat here one last time. He got his favorite, the hot pepper chicken, and I got the beer noodle soup for the first time. Both dishes didn't fail us. The hot pepper chicken is stir fried in a lot of chiles but actually isn't as hot as you think. It has a slow build and is tolerable for something with an average spice tolerance like me! The beef noodle soup was heavenly. It's similar to pho but is sweeter and more gingery. You need to try it to understand! I'll miss Judy's so much and hope it's still around when I visit Bloomington.

Worth a foray into the mall, so tasty! Decently big portion sizes too. My favorite is the popcorn chicken!
