JP’s Hot Chicken

I have to say this was my first time in Kentucky and the fact that we drove all the way over here from Nashville to get hot chicken and the real Kentucky fried chicken experience was so damn weird that I can't even explain it to you. this location will definitely have you waiting for your meal, but it is so worth it. My chicken sandwich was out of this roll. They couldn't stop eating it and I genuinely did not have more physical space in my body to fit more food. The fries were really good although they were a little bit over seasoned, but that definitely might be to another person's taste.The sauces were pretty good. You can find wipes for your hands at the trashcan because you're definitely going to eating this meal. The prices were pretty decent and the service was really fantastic, the staff were really attentive and they were really nice.

The food is really good! We got the sandwich, kids meal and added on a catfish filet. Everything is seasoned really well and delicious. For sides, we got fries and beans. The beans are very peppery and definitely something special that you can't get anywhere else. The fries were average.We would have given 5 stars, but had to deduct 1 star for the bathroom. Do NOT go in. It will make you question how clean the kitchen is and it's just a downward spiral from there.

OMG!! 5 stars. Chicken sandwich is 5 stars. Various heat levels offered. We took hot which is halfway. Got 3 more levels above that. Place is small. Some seating, but mostly take out. Busy as hell! They must be doing something right. Chicken was .... So damn good! Sides were mac n cheese good! Baked beans were better. Wife says they must have jalopeno in it! Awesome. Service was great. Those folks bend over backwards to get you what you need. Prices with sides and a drink... Extremely reasonable. My only regret is I wish I lived close to here!! Believe Next time I come this way, this will be a stop! Place is less than 5 minutes off of I-75. Do please stop here. Fantastic Mom & Pop shop. This is what America is all about!

First time here. Quaint little shop near the base. The sandwich, fries, and fried pickles were quite good and I will order them again. Now, their "True Heat" flavor...is not good. I wanted to desperately enjoy the wings but it was almost as if they soaked them in OC (pepper) spray. If you have ever been sprayed before, you will understand what I am talking about. It's meant for pain and not flavor and this chicken flavor was no different than spraying OC in your mouth. Now, the chicken itself was good, but the flavor coating just was not enjoyable and not because of the heat but because it was so bitter from the amount of spice. If they can find a way to have the heat without the bitterness the. I'd be glad to eat them all!

Amazing chicken, Hattie B level good! The chicken is cooked just right, I got the hot, and it was nice level, I will go up one level next time. Service was great! You just need to try it!

Food was pretty good!! The hot chicken sandwich was amazing, the spice level was perfect. The service was good, the cashier was very nice and friendly! The overall ambiance was okay as JP's was a bit empty when we get there but customers were coming in and out and soon it got full. I recommend getting the chicken sandwich and the fried pickles they were GOOD!

I love JPs, the taste is great and portions are good as well for whole wings combo. Order to table is a little slow, so don't be in a rush, it's worth it though. Not a bad stop for some good ole southern hot chicken. The "HOT" is a perfect flavor for all around in my opinion. Start there and see if you can make it to the true heat

Food was fresh and tasted great! Shrimp burrito and fried pickles were sooooo good! Definitely a place to go!

It's good a little pricy but great quality food, definitely a heat level restaurant for spicy enjoyers but if not still great definitely recommend any of the burritos
