Joella's Hot Chicken

I stopped in for the first time for lunch, sort of stumbled on it looking for a lunch spot.I was not disappointed.I got the lunch special $10 for two tenders, a side and a drink. I decided to get the garlic parmigiana fries for an extra $.75. I got the tenders Ella's spicy.Tenders are wonderful, the hot level was perfect for me, I might even be able to go up a level. The garlic parm fries are deeeeelisious.The staff was friendly, service was quick, I just beat the lunch rush.I made two mistakes.1) I got the order to go and thought I could eat in the car easily. Nope, the fries are packed into the container and they are covered in garlic parm, delicious but messy. The tenders were well, tender, covered in sauce so they wanted to fall apart and get sauce all over your hands. I 75 needs two hands on the wheel.2) see number 1, this hot chicken and fries deserves to be enjoyed and savored not eaten in a moving vehicle like a fast meal.

I've been meaning to stop by here for a long time and it finally happened. There's lots of room to spread out and sit and for some reason they have really tall ceilings. But other than that it's a welcoming atmosphere you where you order up at the counter and then take a number and they bring it to you. I got the big pimento chicken sandwich. It was actually pretty darn tasty! A huge piece of chicken on it as well. I could pick a side and I picked some of the country mashed potatoes with some kicking gravy. Definitely need that spice! It was pretty good. Friend just got some chicken wings that come on top of toast and also a side. So it's pretty pricey for what you get. I guess chicken is a lot of protein and that's probably why it is pricey but just beforewarned, it's a little bit of a splurge. Nothing cheap here at all. But definitely tastes good quality! The chicken and the spices are amazing and I would definitely come back for that.

Wow! I wasn't expecting to love the food so much. The Jojo sauce with Ella's heat on the fried chicken was incredible! I really loved dipping the fries into the Jojo sauce. The employee working was super nice and recommended all of the food I had. She placed all food orders and kept the dining area clean. Food was pricier than expected for a combo meal but I'd happily pay again!

I have been wanting to try out Joella's for a while - we visited after an airport run picking up a friend.The service is phenomenal - the lady at the counter was very helpful as we had never been before and made great recommendations. They were also very helpful as we were leaving. Very impressed with the management and the service!The food was good. The chicken breading was flavorful. I wish I would have gotten one of their house sauces instead of ranch to dip my tenders in - their sauces look fantastic (I just didn't see them on the menu at the time of ordering).The fries were good, but not fantastic (in my humble opinion). I love all kinds of fries - shoestring, boardwalk, steak fries - these are more like shoestring and crispy and have cheese and garlic on them - but it wasn't a 10/10 for me. The chicken shines over the fries. I may have to try another side when I go back.Atmosphere was good - we caught it Easter Sunday evening, so it wasn't very busy. Nothing fancy, but we were there for the fried chicken! I would go back for sure.

Ordered Joella'a for dinner and it did not disappoint! Chicken was fresh and crispy, coleslaw was good (says my husband), garlic parm fries were great! My husband got the chicken and waffles and said the waffles were perfect. Jojo sauce was great, my only complaint is the spiked honey is more like buffalo sauce- no sweetness, very vinegary, and hot. I ordered the spiked honey in hopes for a thick hot and sweet honey but that wasn't the case.

On a recent trip to Cincinnati we ate here twice. My family and I love Nashville hot chicken and appreciated that they had chicken thighs that were meaty and delicious. They also had a large variety of good tasting sides. The service was top notch. Taylor W waited on us both times and was very friendly and informative. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated, clean, and welcoming. We have tried a handful of other Nashville, hot chicken, restaurants, but Joella's is definitely one of our favorites. The food is very flavorful and you get a lot for the reasonable prices.

Yummyyy! Super great options for vegans. I've been twice while I was on my way down to Georgia- fantastic :)

Stopped here based on reviews. It did not disappoint. We walked in at 8, they close at 9:30, the atmosphere was very nice and the lady very friendly. Order at a counter and get your number. Food came out very fast. We got two chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, macaroni, and cheese and garlic fries. We topped it off with banana pudding and Oreo cream pie in a jar. The chicken was good. The mashed potatoes were good although not very hot. The macaroni and cheese was a little bit thick like maybe had been sitting there for a good while. The fries were decent. The dessert was a major disappointment. The banana pudding is just Pudding out of a box with no bananas and only one Nilla wafer The Oreo. Dessert in a jar was just Cool Whip with crushed Oreos in it.

First time here, but we will definitely be back. Great selection of chicken and sauces! Mac and cheese is awesome. It definitely tastes like classic Mac and cheese! I got the sliders, and the hubby got the traditional chicken sandwich with the Mac! Well worth the trip. Awesome customer service as well! Super clean dining room. Great sweet tea, as well as lemonade!

The most wonderful ladies and environment in northern ky! Incredible fried chicken and sides! Best all around whether you like it mild or on fire! The best thing about this restaurant is the service and wholesome friendly southern hospitality ! Brings a smile to our faces every time we visit! Couldn't be happier with Joellas !
